    Great to finally find a firm that is not just professional in what they do (as so many legal firms in Scotland are) but one where the lawyers don't feel they have to play the role of traditional stuffy lawyer. I'm sure like us, most clients, now want authentic people who will engage with you, yet are still capable of doing the business for you. David White fits this bill to a T. He makes you feel he is invested in whatever service you are looking for and genuinely engages with you to achieve a successful outcome. We also loved the fact that he listened to some of the non legal anxieties and proactively gave us a great recommendation for an financial adviser.

    PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE

    Harper Macleod have been my family solicitor since my father died and have been superb to deal with. Their trusts and tax team have been supportive and caring in their dealings with my Mum as she slid into Alzheimer's. Andrea Ross gets a special mention for handling our property conveyancing and has been so helpful, proactive and efficient throughout. Having dealt with property transactions for many years with so many slow solicitors out there - we recommend HM for any such transactions in Scotland - superb service and great team members.

    Please avoid this company at all costs - they undertook a capacity assessment on my 89 year old father who they deemed capable to revoke his current POA. My Dad is vulnerable, has vascular dementia and and has an incapacity certificate and resides in a care home - I managed to stop this from being registered as the consequences for my Dad if this had been processed would of been horrendous. When complaining to them the arrogance of their response and their total lack of empathy or willingness to see my point of view and reassess their processes just beggars belief. There is no-one I have spoken to that thinks this situation is ok so I strongly suggest you review your Conduct rules.

      Fantastic Service

      We contacted Harper Macleod after our father passed away, as his will was held by them. A meeting was arranged quickly and we were advised of what we needed to do and how to do it. All said in ‘normal’ language and not ‘legal’ words. Once the probate was granted, we put his house up for sale, and used Harper Macleod as well, and we were transferred to the Estate Agency section. This was also well organised and quickly dealt with. Again we were spoken to with clarity and we understood all what was happening and what we needed to do. All in all, through a tense family time, we had no worries at all with regard to the legal side of things. I would totally recommend Harper Macleod to anyone who wishes the complicated things to be made much easier and understandable. Thank you so much to all the staff we dealt with.

      Was quoted 10+k to assist with a legal transaction, then learned my friend was quoted 3.5k for the same transaction! When I asked them to clarify the difference, they said they'll tell me if I agree the 10k. deal? Bizarre and amateur practices here and wildly unprofessional responses.
