We have used Borneo Martell for a number of conveyances now, and their performance has been consistently excellent. For the last 4 conveyances we have used the team of Jo Martin (lawyer) and Tessa Collins (conveyancing assistant), and we specifically request them. The majority of our communication is with Tessa, who is extremely efficient, knowledgable and engaging. Mostly we have corresponded by email, and Tessa invariably responds in a day or so. If something pressing has arisen and I phone, she either takes the call if she is available, or calls back as soon as she is free. Although our dealings with Jo have been infrequent, I am aware of all the legal work she is doing in the background. The sale of this property went through very smoothly, and we were impressed - as always - with the combination of Jo and Tessa. There may be cheaper solicitors available, but for reliability, thoroughness and communication skills, I would not go anywhere else.

I have dealt with Mr Mohammed Rahman at this practice for my commercial conveyance for sometime. Recently he has completed a new commercial lease. The level of service and attention to detail was far superior to other practices that we have experienced in the past. Not only was the lease completed in a extremely timely manner, the person pushing for completion most was Mr Rahman himself. As a first-time buyer, the process of purchasing a home can be quite overwhelming, and I did find the communication a bit lacking at times during the early stages — responses were sometimes delayed, which was frustrating when trying to understand the next steps. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t give a full 5 stars. That said, once things got moving, the team were professional, helpful, and supportive throughout the remainder of the process. They handled everything efficiently, kept me updated as we approached exchange, and answered any questions I had with clarity. I really appreciated their effort in the final stages to ensure everything went smoothly. Overall, a very good experience.
