Stephen Taylor at Howells has dealt with two sales and a property purchase for me in recent years. I can highly recommend him. I can't speak highly enough of Joanna and the wider Howells team. They recently acted for me during the purchase of my first property (a flat in London). We were so lucky to have Catherine Shelton as our conveyancer she is truly amazing, patient and understanding we had a long wait for a property in probate but Catherine remained very understanding of the frustrations and actually ensured that once the property had come out of probate we were set up and ready to go, she planned and organised it all perfectly which made the conveyancing go very well. Thankyou Catherine for chasing up on matters, organisation and understanding of our situation and for making our experience in buying a home for the first time easier.

I recently used Howells Solicitors at Rotherham to deal with all the legal matters when selling one house and buying another. My solicitor was Tina Staves and I cannot recommend her too highly, she was excellent in every way. She deals with every detail quickly but thoroughly, leaving nothing to chance. She is really friendly and pleasant to deal with and is very efficient. She is excellent at her job. I have dealt with many solicitors over the years and Tina was the best by far. I would recommend her to everyone if they want a good job completed without fuss. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. Her assistant Jessica Carnell was also really good, very friendly and helpful.

I spent some time giving all my details as a 'new client' and was assured of a call back withingbthree working days. This dis not happen, so I rang them, to be again promised a call back the following day, I rang again the following day abd was told they would call me shortly, finally towards the end of the working day, I again rang them, only to be told that despite initially saying they could help, a "woman in the team" had decided they cpuld not take the case. Thats how she was described to me, no name or job role. They also said I needed to contact another firm quickly as there are strict timescales. Well a week has passed since my initial call, over three hours in phone calls and days waiting for a call back, and thats a week into my "timescalls" on a Friday afternoon, meaning cannot get support from another firm until Monday. So if I could go into negative stars for a review I would. If you are unter pressure, have strict timescales, want to be a valued client, or feeling overwhelmed, my advice is most definitely do not use this firm,they will leave you in limbo, and not respond. Find a company that respects its clients not just the numbers. Simon
