My wife and I had our Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney prepared by Amy and her team, and we highly recommend Ellisons as a go-to law firm for wills, LPAs and inheritance tax advice. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable, taking the time to clearly explain each step of the will writing and Lasting Power of Attorney process and providing helpful guidance on inheritance tax planning. The entire experience was professional, efficient and incredibly smooth from start to finish. A really poor service for business, no attention to detail and no clear communication. I was embarrassed for them after having to deal with their litigation team, who wasted our time and their own client’s. Despite being one of the largest firms in the region, they don’t even make it into the top 5 in East Anglia: it’s clear to see why. I instructed out around £300,000 of legal work last year and none of went to Ellisons: for good reason.

I was introduced to Ellisons last year when I was volunteering at Thingymagics cafe for carers & their loved ones with Denentia.Ellisons fund this once a month.I spoke to Spencer Davis & he was so helpful regarding Power of Attorney & others concerns regarding my mum.When my mum passed away in January,I used Ellisons for the sale of her house.Shah Bakar has been so helpful,keeping us updated via email or by telephone.The sale went through very smoothly.I will definitely use them again if needed in the future..A big thank you Shah.

0 Stars isn't an option. Absolutely dreadful - did not perform the task they were paid to do then ran up billable hours on things I hadn't approved. Funds on account was used up on pointless tasks (that I'd already paid someone else to do) and successfully wasted 6 months on a time sensitive matter. Asked for justification of billing and was told in was in her (Lauren's) notes but were unable/willing to provide anything that would be considered "legally admissible" to support this - I was asked to attend a meeting but the requestee didn't turn up; I was asked to communicate through a specific email address but never received a response, instead their comm's came from a different address that i didn't know about and hadn't approved into my inbox. They are obliged to work in the best interest of the client but I have nothing that supports this. Avoid at all costs. Matter now with the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

My brother and I can't thank Shah enough for seeing our late father's probate sale through to completion. He was patient, efficient and always on point, ensuring we were always ahead of the game. No matter how many obstacles our buyers solicitors put in the way, Shah's wealth of experience shone through. Ellisons not only dealt with the sale, but their Private Client team also handled the probate in a very timely and efficient manner. Great service all round.
