We had a dispute over a border with our neighbours. Birkett Long took the case but it was passed to several staff, the communication with the person handling the case was extremely poor, they were not well informed of the facts and were poorly prepared, they were almost impossible to get a hold of, the final resolution was delayed and things are still not completely resolved because of the delays experienced. It was an extremely negetive experience. Eventually we made a formal complaint and finally a more professional person took over and actually responded to us and we were able to finalise the case.

In April 2024 I had the daunting task of selling a large Victorian house, which suffered from major structural defects. Sarah Murphey was recommended to me because it was thought that I would appreciate not only her professionalism but also her matter of fact, no- nonsense approach to things. This proved to be so. During a long, and at times, complicated sales process, which included Sarah having to give me advice & guidance on unusual property insurance issues, she constantly kept me informed & advised on all relevant matters. There were two abortive sales before a sale was, finally, concluded in February 2025. During the whole time Sarah went WELL BEYOND what a client might reasonably expect from their solicitor. !! I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

We engaged this firm to write our WILLS and LPAs. Bearing in mind we provided current I .D including our address of 9 years at time of engagement, they sent the draft documents to our former address we left in 2006! We haven’t complained as it was a genuine error I suppose, or sloppy work, however we are entitled to review our experience and comment for public knowledge. We would not use them again.

I used IBB LAW for a recent court case. I had Jennifer Lewin as my solicitor. She was brilliant, gave very good advice and was very reassuring. I will definitely use IBB again and again. Thank you IBB law.

Sadly I have had a terrible experience with this law firm and its cost me dearly. Their mistakes have basically ruined the last two years of my life and lost me a fortune. And atm I can see no end to it. I'm leaving this review because I have asked for their complaints procedure but they have failed to send it to me. And there's no need to respond to this review by saying you can't find my communications, and then inviting me to get in touch. You know very well who I am.

Mr Hallam was very helpful, knowledgeable and set out our options clearly.

Jane was very approachable, listened carefully and understood our requirements, while clearly explaining the legal implications of what we asked.

As always, Russell provided a quick and friendly response to questions I had recently relating to inheritance.
