Over the past 45 years the firm has grown from a one man band to what is now a large regional law firm employing over 230 staff across 17 offices throughout Yorkshire. We offer the broadest suite of legal services in the region and are very much embedded in the communities in which we have offices. AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD! In 2022 IH represented my partner in the purchase of her property in York. They made a major mistake, not checking the documents thoroughly enough and showing the due diligence that a legal team should. This is subsequently impacting the sale now, and despite having more than 4 weeks since another solicitor highlighted this error, IH refuse to take any ownership, accountability or show any sign of taking corrective action - this comes direct from one of the Partners (who I shall not yet name). They are causing the delay in sale and purchase, they are creating misery for my partner and I, and 3 children under the age of 10. IH are an embarrassment to the profession. For your own sake, they might be the cheapest (and here's the reason!) but spend a little more and go with a decent and reputable firm. AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD!
We were recommended to use Ison Harrison by Linden Homes to purchase our new build and sell our existing home. Cannot praise them enough, they were fast and efficient and always available at the other end of the phone when needed. Rebecca and Leah were fantastic.

I consulted Ison Harrison Solicitors with regard to my employment settlement. I requested this be turned around very quickly to allow all parties to move on. I was delighted with the service, after 3 working days all parties had signed the agreement.
