I bought my house using BLJ 5 years ago and now selling my house and buying my new one with them too, this goes to show how good they are! I had Megan Shaw and Jacqueline Ball as my solicitors and they were truly incredible. They answered any and all silly questions so quickly, made me feel involved and supported me throughout the entire process. Also, using the app meant I could message when I had time which was very convenient!

It was sometimes difficult to get updates especially on the app provided, the information did not always mean anything to me and left some confusion The final stages were very unclear, I was told things were in place, then they weren’t, then they were? I found my removal company and estate agent gave me more information than the solicitor firm on completion day, I was not informed of the process on this day, Google helped but it would have been good to have more information before the date, there was an error with the funding transfer as well which did cause more stress unfortunately. I did not meet anyone from the team and there were delays in replying to my enquiries I think it would be useful for you to provide details of what some of your terms mean eg ‘enquiries, searches, certificates’ and provide more information about timescales , I was supported by BLJ and the vendors used the same company so I would think this would usually make communication more effective? This was a new experience for me at a stressful time and as someone who has no insight into the processes involved I did feel uncertain of what to expect The reception team at the office were always helpful and it was good to see they were supporting each other when they were unsure what to do, thanks to them and please can they be told of this? Sorry I don’t recall their names I hope this will help your firm improve their service and practice

Great, easy, consistent, professional service from start to finis with the team keeping me informed at the earliest opportunity. Have used a couple of times when buying and selling a property. The App is really user-friendly, simple to use too.

So much more expensive than other I felt like cos I'm a first time buyer it was ok to make me wait . The portal is only good when I actually get a reply. At least we have got to the end goal

They kept the process simple, clear, efficient and were quick to deal with any issues as they arose and were highly communicative throughout. Chris was really nice and super prompt with his replies which I know that people have a hard time coming by with solicitors, so this was great. 10/10 for that. However, I think it would help to inform the customers about any potential additional costs more clearly over the phone and any action that they need to take themselves (ie. Filling out release forms for LISA). First time buyers have no experience of the process and it would help to have more concise info re: the whole process. Apart from those little things, I had a really good experience with a Chris and thank him for his help with everything.
