I already had a will with Willans which needed to be updated. I found them easy and efficient to deal with.

I cannot thank Willans enough, in particular Tom O'Riordan, for the care and attention he gave to our family when sorting our Wills and LPAs. These were particularly emotional conversations to have, and we had very little knowledge of the process. Tom walked us through every step of the journey and explained everything in thorough detail but also in a way that felt easy to understand. He has a calm nature that helped us to navigate these difficult conversations, but at the same time is fast acting, readily available and just generally a fantastic support to have had behind us. Willans have supported our family through several milestones now, and despite having sought legal care from other places prior, it is their true caring and shrewd attention to detail that will keep us coming back again. Suzanne O'Riordan is another enormous support, going above and beyond to resolve a conflict in my house purchase. It arose from the other party and she fairly challenged their error but with manners and dignity. Thank you for going above and beyond with your service, and recognising us as a family with a heartbeat, not just a number.

My father has worked with Simon and Abi from The Wills, Trusts & Probate Department for a number of years and he would fully recommend their service. It's not sour grapes because I lost it's the way I lost. I disputed a will and the opposition just rolled over me with no worthwhile response from Willans. And yet when it comes to every email, phone call, letter they are right on it with the billing. I wasted a lot of money for nothing. Would not recommend.

Sian Devereux-Renny handled a family probate case , which was complex and protracted. Sian displayed exceptional tact and empathy , whilst being professional and always communicative. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I have experience of Willans on both the property conveyancing side, which was positive and Willans's Wills and Testament team which was a ferocious disappointment. Having had a good experience with Willans's property team I asked to be referred to their Wills and Testaments team to facilitate the creation of a Will for me and my wife. We were told an initial call would be required in order to prepare a detailed quote for Willans's services - no problem - and we arranged the call in the knowledge we would have to pay for that call if we did not proceed to instruct Willans. We had the call and received the quote for the Wills, which was significant for a simple Will for me and my wife. We decided to use another reputable firm at a much lower price (c.50% less). We were presented with an invoice for c.£850 which included the phone call (which I knew we had to pay for - c.£250 + VAT) but also a raft of other costs including AML checks (which were never completed), notes from the initial call and other such items. When I challenged Willans about these costs I was simply told that I had signed Willans's Terms of Business that gave them the right to charge these fees. In short, be very aware, and avoid this firm entirely if you wish to protect yourselves from these exorbitant charges for a single phone call.
