We were helped by Sally with the Sale and Purchase of our properties. Sally was diligent, responsive, caring and super tenacious with the other solicitors involved. She made us feel like she truly cared about the speediness of the Sale and related Purchase. For what is supposed to be a stressful process, Sally couldn’t have made it less so. Naomi dealt with a sale and two purchases for us; her knowledge and advice was fabulous, she is very thorough and highlighted things that we would not have considered. We were selling an inherited property where one executor lives abroad. From the start, Napthens were excellent. Charges set out clearly and no hidden extras. We were given a short completion date 2 days before I went on holiday and the paperwork was ready to sign before I left. They dealt with the other executor living abroad well, emailing documents and ensuring they were in in order before returning. We had a few delays (not due to my solicitors), but I was kept informed and finally exchanged and completed only 2 days late. Excellent service throughout and the staff were friendly and professional and happy to answer any queries. Very personal service with named contacts and direct contact details.

Not having bought a property for 25 years, i was very nervous about finding the right solicitor. Naomi was courteous from the start, patient in explaining everything and when the purchase stretched out for far too long, she was patient and careful with me while she maintained a polite pressure on the seller’s solicitor. Every time I asked for an update, she had already done what I wanted. It wasn’t a straight forward process and she just kept going, providing me with sense checks whenever I needed them and helping me be strong when I was ready to compromise unnecessarily. I would highly recommend her .

Napthens were recommended to me by a colleague which is as good as anything when selecting a conveyancer. Everyone I spoke to individually was perfectly friendly and collaborative, I can't fault any individual on that front... however... Not particularly impressed by the service. Communication was very lacking. Hard to get a call back. Solicitor didn't feel like she was working on my side, merely trying to complete the case as quickly as possible and ultimately allowed the simple act of what should have been a relatively straight-forward no-chain house sale drag on for nearly 7 months. There seemed to be significant games of "whispers" happening which meant that information I gave to Napthens didn't make it in one piece to the buyer, and vice versa, which led to multiple serious complications by the end of the sale. So much so that I did much of the legwork via my estate agent, and even directly with the buyer. I also personally had to resolve a query over the freehold because Napthens didn't spend any time trying to resolve it, at the cost of multiple hours of my own time, which as a self-employed person, I didn't really have, but had no choice. In the end, I was forced into a corner through a combination of my buyer being extremely stubborn and my solicitor not fighting my corner which led me to having to accept a simultaneous exchange & completion despite my assertion that that was categorically unacceptable to my circumstances. At the end of the day I was left with the decision to either go back to market, or just roll over and accept a huge risk.
