We found Uzma and her team friendly and efficient in all aspects of the sale and purchase of our properties. No stars - terribly slow and uncommunicative. A simple lease extension took nearly 11 months to finalise! The agent was difficult to get hold of, sent the wrong documents and even failed to send me a copy of the final lease. In order to finalise the sale of my house I had to involve my solicitor. I don't like giving negative feedback but it I think it is important as the whole process was expensive and frustrating. Avoid!
We are sorry to hear you are frustrated by the time it took for you to obtain a lease extension. Our client is the freehold company who granted your lease and we can only comment on how we handled our part within the matter from their perspective. All of our communication was within the necessary timescales and through the correct channels from when the original documents were sent to us when you were overseas. This was not a straightforward lease extension as a Deed of Substituted Security was also required from your lender. At present, registration of new leases with the Land Registry takes more than 12 months. Your lease was registered in less than three months.
Longmores have acted for us on many property sales and purchases over the years. Always professional and a good service.

Longmores Service was very thorough and professional. Communications were frequent and we did not have any trouble making contact at any time during the process. As first time buyers it would have been useful to have received some sort of welcome pack explaining the whole process including what was required at each stage. At times it felt like we were asked to provide documentation etc. with no prior warning which caused stress as we were eager not to hold the process up. We also felt that our views weren't always asked for and instead assumptions were made as to what we may or may not want in relation to the conveyancing process. It would also have been useful to have regular updates during the process, without having to call and chase ourselves. Even if this was weekly it would have been very much appreciated.

I used Longmores when purchasing my home. It went smoothly and within my timeline, meaning I was able to complete on the day that I wanted to. Using their app was convenient too, as I could easily see a log of what had been done and on what dates, which was very reassuring. Being able to pop into the office to look through documentation was great, as I was able to ask questions then and there, rather than doing everything remotely.

I found myself having to agree a settlement agreement with my employer after being made redundant. I looked around for a solicitor who could support us and Miranda was empathetic, supportive and tenacious.. It’s rare to find a solicitor who actually cares about you and your situation, whilst retaining expert knowledge to help me come to mutually acceptable agreement. MIranda is a credit to Longmores and her professionalism was refreshing. This was at a time of extraordinary stress we had our very own Florence Nightingale.
