Home to Hertfordshire

Our first house was in Hertfordshire eventually leading to the present, but in the moves we also moved to a large London firm of solicitors. Now retired we have moved the battlelines back to Hertfordshire and are delighted with the help we have received from Longmores with our estate. The experience has encouraged us to move our accounts and book keeping closer to home as well and that also is proving most successful. Tired of London maybe, but not tired of Life

Exceptional service & support during sale & purchase of properties

We recently completed both the sale of our property and the purchase of a new home, and we couldn’t have navigated the complexities of both transactions without the exceptional support of Uzma Saleem at Longmores Solicitors. Both transactions presented unique challenges, but Uzma's expertise, experience and support ensured we successfully completed them both. Throughout the entire process, her clear and consistent communication made a world of difference, particularly during the more difficult moments. I was pleased to meet Richard again when he recently arranged to set up a new discretionary trust. He has a professional approach whilst being able to explain the procedure in a manner that was easy to understand. Apart from covering the legal aspects of the agreement, I also appreciated his advice when options became available.

Longmore's handling of this matter has been highly satisfactory, and here I must highlight the efforts of Tina Pizzey, whose efforts have gone well above the call of duty.
She was confronted by a wall of falsehoods from National Savings & Investments, who would tell her they had transferred my late wife's holdings to my account but it was untrue and I could prove it.
Showing great patience with my frustration at the situation, she burrowed away and did eventually speak to someone at NS&I, who was surprisingly frank about the NS&I's procedural shortcomings.
Through her huge and tactful efforts, and using this new knowledge, she untangled the situation and (after weeks and months) the NS&I website was at last correctly updated.
For all this, Tina Pizzey deserves recognition.

We instructed Longmores following referral from our industry governing body to assist with a Director's shareholder dispute. Longmores, John Wiblin in particular was informative, robust and aggressive in asserting our position resulting in a better result than anticipated. There is no doubt without their support our position and indeed settlement will have been much more onerous. Whilst expensive, the old adage 'you get what you pay for' is appropriate. My business partner and I are very satisfied to have the matter fairly settled and behind us.

Hope we don't need to face similar in future, but will be back if we do! Thanks
