Witnessing and certifying documents

I needed a legal document signature to be quickly witnessed and certified. I rang up Forbes in Blackburn, who said I could come in same day. Lisa sorted it out for me quickly and without fuss. Exceptional

I had an exceptional experience with Tom and Laura, both of whom are easy to get on with and immediately ease any anxieties. I was always kept in the loop of what was happening, and never felt in the dark. Throughout the whole period, I felt comfortable enough to reach out to them if I ever needed help or had to tell them anything, and their responses were both quick and in depth. Everything they did was completed to the highest level, with complete attention to detail, while always remaining professional. Their passion for the job really manifests itself in the advice they offer, and you can really tell that they know what they are doing. Court summons for non compliance.

I contacted Forbes for help with a speeding fine notice. Papers which were filled in and returned to the police were never received by them. This resulted in court proceedings being issued to myself. I was not the driver but the owner of the car. I met Mr Ian Dunbar who was extremely helpful and explained to me the court procedure making me feel a lot less anxious about the whole situation. On arriving in court I met Mr Simon Gretton who was also very reassuring.

Awful

The Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority both agreed I had cause for complaint. The Ombudsman recommended they pay me a measly amount for procedural errors and the Authority said I should have sacked them as soon as I realised the first time there was a procedural error. Neither body would say bad advice.

We are sorry that you remain dissatisfied with our service. As this matter was referred to the Legal Ombudsman, it is important to clarify the outcome of their independent investigation. The Legal Ombudsman considered your complaints regarding both the advice provided in relation to settlement of your claim and the medical evidence obtained during the matter. Having reviewed the evidence, the Ombudsman dismissed those complaints, concluding that they had no reasonable prospect of success. The Ombudsman also considered your complaint regarding delay. Before the Ombudsman became involved, we had already acknowledged a minor service issue relating to the handling of the matter and made an offer of compensation. The Ombudsman determined that this offer represented fair and reasonable redress and confirmed that it remained open for acceptance. Whilst we accept that there was a minor service failing, the Legal Ombudsman did not criticise the legal advice provided or find that the outcome of your claim had been adversely affected. We remain committed to providing a high standard of service and continuously reviewing our processes to ensure the best possible experience for our clients.

My company had some problems getting paid off of a client for some subcontracting works done at Christmas time. I spoke with Michael Swan at Forbes on the phone and after a small fee he had written up the legal document to ensure the client paid within a set time frame… the letter never even made the mail box. 4 and a half hours later they had settled the invoice in full on the same day after nearly 4 months of myself requesting payment. 100% recommend if you are having problems with payments then Michael is the man to speak too. What an amazing results after being owed thousands for nearly 4 months.
