Sold my flat through your move and Gilson Gray solicitor. Gilson Gray we’re professional and diligent and made sure no future problems would arise. Any questions I had were answered fully and within a reasonable time frame At no point was I made to feel a burden for asking questions that were probably fairly elementary as far as a solicitor was concerned At all times I felt that things were under control Many thanks for your help

Started the process of buying our house in January, came highly recommended by our estate agent as they said there in house solicitors would be quicker as we have no chain. First solicitor we had kept asking for numerous paperwork we had already sent and signed, this happened quite a few times which kept delaying the process. Second solicitor doesn’t seem to be doing much neither because nearly 6months down the line we’re still awaiting a completion and moving date, the property we’re buying is empty there is no chain. The whole process should be simple, quote from the estate agent you should be in by 12weeks from accepting offer. Absolutely ball ache and inches from plugging the plug on the house.
Had numerous issues with this firm... Put the wrong account number on completion day for my mortgage so the gunds did not go to the bank... had two active mortgages costing me money... took 6 months of battling to get a refund... Local search done on the wrong property... no email responses... weeks of calling to get through to anyone... information not sent or incorrect Avoid this firm!
Do not use G&G. I was initially quoted a reasonable sum for conveyancing, with them knowing that the purchase was leasehold and required building safety checks. This price raised slightly halfway through conveyancing, then on the day of exchange it was raised by an additional £1,000, then DOUBLED. Knowing the sale would fall through if I failed to pay, I was forced to. This was a no-chain purchase that took over six months to complete, despite instructions asking them to get matters in order weeks in advance. There is also administrative incompetence seemingly throughout the organisation. Wet ink documents weren't checked and had to be resigned right before exchange, inquiries from myself that relied on 3rd parties were asked one week before exchange (risky, as 3rd parties have no requirement to respond in time), despite being asked months in advance, and despite being a first time buyer, no process or documents were actually explained in any meaningful way. Additionally, questions and emails regarding progress and next steps were never clearly answered, or sometimes they were ignored for days. Certainly not worth the sum they demanded on completion. Avoid at all costs.

Faultless service provided by Sally McBride at Lincoln. A delight to deal with. Quick responses and explained everything clearly. We are not very good at using portals but they guided us through always offering support and alternative ways. The whole team were friendly and efficient. Even welcomed our dog when we went to take documents!!
