Divorce

My divorce took far too long. I accept that my husband was not the quickest to respond however 6 years is just too much. My financial situation had changed on numerous occasions over this period so paperwork had to be changed. I also experienced 3 different solicitors each time having to go through my case and being charged for the pleasure. Nick was the best out of all of them and pleasant to deal with and I feel he understood my frustrations.

Review on legal case

Overall, Nick did a good job in sorting out the divorce, financial settlement and CAO, managing to divide between the three elements and sum everything up and how it linked together, and was good at pointing out what we could and couldn't do. His advice was always right, he was very professional, the case was resolved to a good conclusion, and I trusted him throughout.

Nick showed understanding of my case and although he kept me informed where possible, I think on a wider point for solicitors and the legal system (so in no way personal to Nick) there were elements that I found traumatic, particularly around the CAO, and the occasional times where we heard nothing (which I know with an overwhelmed legal system may be the case). I think for people going through this like me, just being aware that someone has your back is of massive help, even if it's saying that there's no news but that you're on the case.

That said, Nick was great in guiding me through the process, and I found his professional attitude and advice excellent.

Also a mention and thank you to Heather for her speedy and kind support in keeping the legal documents flowing and pointing me in the right direction to sort financials and paperwork.

Would highly recommend Esme

Esme has been a great support for myself through all of the proceedings that had taken place.
Esme has been very informative and responsive through the whole process and helpful when I had needed support or advice on anything.
I am very grateful to have had Esme representing myself through a very difficult process and helped myself and my children to have the best outcome.
Esme is an approachable person who gives clear communication and sensible advice when needed.
If Esme was unavailable to respond to anything from myself I was reassured that there was another member of her team who would respond to me, they would reply very quickly.

Steven has always been at the end of the phone whenever I have needed him. He has never rushed me and has always explained things fully, being very patient when complex matters needed attention. He has worked very hard, and been patient when things have been frustrating for him at times. Thank you Steven for finally resolving this matter.

Office of the Public Guardian Deputyship

The process was long (not due to the solicitors) and indicates the importance of an LPA, however, my father did not have this in place, and I approached Ringrose Law to engage in obtaining a deputyship order. The initial meetings were professional conducted as we worked through my father's accounts and assets. We were kept informed over the course of the application. Happy with both the outcome and the role Ringrose played. Having used them for my mortgage it was an easy decision to use them again.

I instructed Megan Whittaker over a Clinical Negligence case.
Despite blips along the way, Megan worked very hard indeed to get the case resolved. I cannot speak highly enough of her, she's an excellent Solicitor and very experienced. Should I have further need of a Solicitor, Megan will be my first port of call.

I found Egress absolutely awful. It made it impossible to keep track of conversations other than by screen dumping everything into a document. It was also fiddly to download attachments as it worked differently in different emails.

Kim was absolutely great especially towards the end. I think she understood our situation and the impact it would have on us as a family and acted in our best interested rather than operating as a typical property solicitor. Thank you!
