Overall, I have had a good experience with Latoya, she is a nice person. The only reason why I didn't give five stars was because she didn't have much faith at the beginning and if it wasn't for my determination to seek another opinion I probably wouldn't of got this far.

When you are being prosecuted you need to hire someone who knows the law well enough to represent you so that you don't get hit even harder that you deserve. It happens all the time, the (throwing the book at you method). The book hurts. The police and CPS like to escalate charges. If you don't have a representative who knows what might happen. I had a solicitor from another firm before, same case. His representation was discontinued and I hired a lady from Richard Nelson LLP. She made sure the law remained honest, I was given a consequence that matched my offence not a hugely escalated sentence that would have been unfair. She knows things like what sentencing guidelines the court are empowered with and made a point to the court that they accepted which otherwise would have left me in a position where I would no doubt have been prosecuted again in future. Eve Paterson skillfully negotiated the safe zone between there should be a consequence and escalated charges to make it sound worse than it was. In my very humble opinion,if you are going into a courtroom without her good luck. But if I had a choice I would use Richard Nelson. Eve if possible.

I can’t thank my solicitor Mark Howell enough for representing me in my Minded to Bar case. He was professional, compassionate and incredibly thorough. Really disappointed with the service. I contacted the firm for help with what should have been a very straightforward matter — simply verifying copies of my driving licence and council tax statement for my bank. Unfortunately, they were unwilling to help, despite this being a basic request that would have taken very little time. I found the whole experience unnecessarily difficult and unhelpful. I appreciate firms are busy, but when someone is asking for a simple document verification service, I would expect a solicitor’s office to at least try to assist or explain clearly why they cannot. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend them for this type of straightforward work.
I am sorry that we were unable to help. Unfortunately verifying identity documents is just not a service that we offer.
Patrick Macken was really helpful and professional. He turned everything around quickly, and I’d happily recommend him and the firm.
