I paid a couple of expensive bills to GILSON GRAY solc and decided to start a monthly payment plan ! I became critically ill and called them to ask could I pay most of the monthly account and the remainder the following week , they flatly refused !! I was then rushed to hospital unresponsive and had an emergency life saving opration I was unable to walk and spent two months in hospital I advised them of my circumstances but they started court proceedings against me causing further distress and expense while I was trying to recover !! They have shown zero compassion I dont agree with their client care and suppor policy it is non existent all they care about is getting their highly questionable and hugely expensive accounts paid !! Be prepared to expect that !!!

David Gray at the firm has been excellent. His advise was clear; assured; knowledgeable; and easy to understand. Phone calls and emails were both friendly and professional. David took on board straight away my questions and knew exactly what was at issue. It was also easy to get in touch with David. He was available to help and quick to respond. All paper work and admin matters were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The billing structure at Gilson Gray was also transparent and reasonable. With Assistance from Gilson Gray we were able to tackle the matter I needed help with and brought it to a successful resolution.

I am a lawyer who specialises in personal injury litigation. I instructed Gilson Gray to recover a significant sum of damages, together with expenses, which had been granted for a client by court decree against an uninsured defender. The defender was avoiding any attempt to make payment personally. The matter was dealt with by David Alexander and David Gray. The service provided by both was impeccable : fast, efficient and and courteous. A pro-active and vigorous approach to recover the sums due. Very professional. I was delighted, as was my client, that all sums due by way of damages and expenses were recovered within a very short timeframe. I would highly recommend Gilson Gray in respect of any debt recovery related matter.

I instructed David Alexander and David Gray to recover a debt due under an English Judgment on 03/12/2024. We agreed that, given the debt of over £10k and how slow the English Courts can be to provide a Certificate of Money Provisions, that an insolvency demand letter be issued by the Sheriff, based on the Judgment Order. This was issued to the Sheriff and served on 04/12/2024/05/12/2024, and resulted in a very quick turnaround for my client, as payment was then received in full on 09/12/2024. Great result on a debt that is long overdue!

Alan was a calming and meticulous ally who made the stressful experience that was a convoluted mess of boundary issues and poor service from the other side’s solicitors into a reassuringly solid and timely experience. He responded at all hours to all correspondence and persisted beyond expectations.

My daughter keeps getting told they have a new IT system which is causing issues . Shes in danger of losing the house she want to buy because of this x Getting nowhere with the company

If I could give less than one star I would,my buyer is going to be homeless as he made the mistake of using this company,they ignore emails didn't do their job and queried something in November which should have been dealt with in August, I will have to put the house back on the market depriving a family of their new home due to only what can be called complete incompetence, I suggest that this company tries to remember that it's people's lives and not just a job, they should hang their heads in shame and cease trading as they do not provide the service they advertise

Do not listen to any of these 5 star reviews. I am a developer over 15 years in the game. My buyers, unfortunately went with this firm and as a result they have missed 2 completion dates, do not respond to my solicitors as to the reasons why and are completely and utterly incompetent at their jobs. I shall be reporting to the governing board to request an enquiry investigation to get these clowns struck off as solicitors. DO NOT INSTRUCT THIS FIRM.

After being pased to a voicemail box numberous times I managed to make contact only to be told they cant speak to me. My solicitor since tried again and had no success. Update. Oct 15th Our Solicitor still can't get information out of Gilson Gray. Now forwarding onto ombudsman.
