Stowe Family Law is assisting me in a very complicated case for my child arrangements for my daughter which involves domestic abuse and violence. My case is led by Ciara Pugh Senior Associate a very knowledgeable lawyer in family law disputes who accompanied me to Court in the hardest moments of my life. I never thought that I would find a lawyer who would also see the human side of things considering that everything costs money in the world of law.
On my bad day of my life when my ex partner sent me the Court application to take my daughter away from me, I met Chantel Fenton who collected from reception and offered me a coffee. It was warm and pleasant considering the loneliness I felt at that moment. Chantel has contacted the Partner Layer Samantha Farndale who started the procedures considering that my ex partner had a no hearing 48h application.
I want to tank you All and encourage other people to put their challenges in these professional hands.

I tried to use this firm when I was having issues regarding my daughter, she was 11 years old at the time. They were unhelpful and didn't listen, they did not take points on board or listen to what I was saying. The only thing they were good at was giving excuses.
I made the mistake of creating an evidence bundle myself which took many hours and was not easy. I am a Veteran who suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder and the nature of some of the evidence was extremely distressing for me, especially when I was battling my own demons.
Some of the evidence related to my 11 year old daughter being groomed online and the bundle contained screen shots of the conversations and copies of the images that grown men were sending to an 11 year old child. The bundle also contained images that these grown men persuaded my 11 year old daughter to send of herself.
As I couldn't risk this bundle being lost in the post I 100% took it into the Harrogate Office and handed it in and personally gave it to a young female member of staff.
However when I asked for the bundle to be returned, they denied ever receiving it. I couldn't believe this, they had lost it. The Harrogate office is in a building with multiple companies, this now meant that somewhere in this building was my bundle containing the sensitive documents. I tried my best to get my bundle back but they continued to state they never received it, I am not a liar and they most definitely did have it. I submitted a complaint with them and took it all the way to the ombudsman but had to drop it as I could not prove they had it without a tracking number (they had it) the firm gave me a full refund but still I have to constantly think about where the bundle is and who has it and what they are doing with it. All of the above greatly impacted on my already poor mental health and the firm just didn’t care.
I would recommend avoiding this firm and I most certainly would never recommend them to anyone ever.

From the moment I met Katy Jordan (Bristol) I knew I’d made the right choice of a solicitor to guide me through the difficulties facing me re my divorce. Katy was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, reassuring, supportive and respectful. It was a very difficult 2.5 years for me, but Katy was able to reassure me and help me get to the successful conclusion we reached in Court. When I was first in my situation I felt like I had no hope! I had met a friend who was in a similar situation to me and he passed on the details of Stowe family law. When I made the initial phone call I didn’t really know what to expect or if they would be able to help. After my first initial call I was passed onto Cath to take on my case. Very quickly into our opening conversation I knew that she would be perfect to take on my case. I went through the hardest time in my life but Cath was always there to reassure me and keep things going in the right direction. Every bump in the road was quickly smoothed out. Not at any point in the duration of my case was I concerned about my representation, quite the opposite I knew I had the best. Unfortunately due to a corona era things where a lot slower then I had hoped but we carried on pushing and got the result. I can safely say there is absolutely no way I would of got the result I did without Cath. I am now reconnected with the most precious thing in my life, my son! I could not be more thankful.

Dealing with a divorce it’s incredibly sad time, but also I love the stress it’s down to all the necessary information that is needed . What I needed was a professional lawyer that on one hand was very understanding with the stress and upset, but more importantly a professional that was organised incredibly dedicated but also firm with insuring you are making the right decisions for yourself moving forward .
I’m dealing with Cath Porter at Stowe Family Law, I simply could not recommend Cath highly enough, and while my case is still not finalised I know that I’m in absolutely the best hands and also thank the team .
Cath Porter Will meet every professional Integral part you will need in this field .

I've been taking advice and dealing with Stowe Family for a little over 6 months now and to sum them up they're nothing short of amazing. From the get go they were passionate, understanding and very clear when dealing with my case and they've kept their high standard from the beginning right through to the very end of my case.
When I first contacted Stowe Family I spoke to a very lovely receptionist who recommended my solicitor, Cath Porter, and what a recommendation she was! Cath is like an angel sent down from the heavens, she is the most wonderful, nerve calming, professional person I've ever met. Every step we took in my case was precise and well thought out, her choice of barrister was brilliant (a big thank you to him as well) and her overall mannerisms helped me through my toughest times immensely.
I am thankful to say my case is now closed, but if I ever needed advice again in the future I wouldn't for a moment hesitate to get in contact with Cath Porter and Stowe Family Law. I am eternally grateful for the work they have done for me and my family.
