After spending years using another solicitor to deal with my case, that solicitor stopped practising child law so I needed to find another solicitor who was at least as good, if not better. After scouring the review sites we came across Zoe Carter at Stowe Family Law, and am I ever glad we did?
Zoe set me at ease right from the start, going through the various aspects of my case, highlighting which parts were strong and which parts were not. She provided an estimate and breakdown of the potential costs of the case, including variations depending on how many court hearings there might be, this estimate turned out the be pretty accurate at the conclusion.
The case was particularly difficult, we were seeking 50/50 shared care but the other party would not budge or compromise on any aspect, and halfway through an issue with secondary school applications arose which had to be added to the case. Additionally the initial CAFCASS report was not entirely favourable to our case, which added some complication.
In the end Zoe and the Barrister she appointed to represent me in court, managed to get pretty much everything we wanted at the outset.
Zoe was always happy to respond to queries, in or out of hours, including responding to panicked texts or voicemails in the middle of the night or weekend, which was provided a high level of comfort.
I cannot thank Zoe enough, I really wish I had found her years ago as the issues we were facing may have been settled way back then. You really don't realise how good or bad your current solicitor is until you find one who is head and shoulders above them in terms of service and knowledge.
I would highly recommend Zoe Carter for any separated parent wanting the best outcome for their children, I could not be happier with the outcome.
