Would highly recommend Daniel Haigh and team. Great service throughout. Consistent communication and he made himself available for any queries we had. I am re writing my review. Michael Cook deemed by review to be defamatory. He has since written to me threatening legal action against my review as he deemed it be defamatory. I am entitled to write a review and see how I feel I have been treated and how their conduct in acting for me has been poor. Due to the delay of the sale going through, the buyer was desperate to move into my property and wanted to rent it. He wanted the sale to go through by the latest 12th July. He had put the offer in in mid March and I accepted. My case was left for 4 weeks as the person dealing with it had left Michael Cook Law Firm and no one had acted on it. Robinson Lettings had informed me that they had stopped using Michael Cook as their had been a number of complaints. I trusted Michael Cook would then act accordingly. He never once returned my phone calls, when I was told on numerous occasions he would call me back in person and never did. The buyer dropped out of the sale after the 12th July, as he told me he had no choice because he had to sign up to a 6 month contract to rent, as he had nowhere to live. Michael Cook Law firm have been unprofessional and incompetent in my opinion. I am only writing what I feel they have been towards me and what Robinsons Lettings told me and what buyer had told me. Mr Cook writing a letter threatening legal action for defamatory comments is what I feel to be threatening and intimidating behaviour. I was given 48 hours to remove my review or will progress with proceedings.
There are two sides to every story and we do not wish to engage further on this matter.
I used Langley's 1st spent 27k and didn't look good for me in court. Looked up different solicitors out of York. Pepperells just picked it as it's unusual name. 1st call was a lady with softy comforting well mannered voice. Pepperells secutary. 7k I've spent with pepperells 5k just on a barrister who acted on my behalf and turned things around.And also told me last solicitor I used didn't do his job very well or didn't know ime now due 27k back of Langley's solicitors. I give pepperells solicitors 10/10. no pressure. no time wasting. Mrs Scott,s my solicitor along with her co pilot George. Ile keep pepperells solicitors very very good solicitors 😊😃💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

Received an email asking me to sign and also my bank statements and account details. I thought it was a scam! Contacted solicitors who never got back to me about why they needed this information. Eventually I managed to speak to someone who said they didn’t actually this but it’s sent out automatically. I still continued to be sent these emails asking me to sign etc. Really poor communication and service.

I received some good advice regarding a dispute with my neighbours. You have to pay for your appointment upfront but it was well worth it.

In January this year I purchased a car from a dealership. The car did not meet satisfactory standards and the dealership was refusing me my consumer rights under the 30 day right to return. I contacted Pepperells and was quickly given an appointment with Leah Kelly (Associate Solicitor). Leah was amazing, she listened carefully, and understood my situation. Leah issued a Letter Before Action to the dealership, unfortunately, they didn't respond. However, Leah and her colleague Selin (Trainee Solicitor) did not give up and managed to arrange a meeting with the dealership to rectify the situation. The meeting was a success and I now have a new car I am happy with. I would highly recommend Pepperells Solicitors. Both Leah and Selin provided great service. I am extremely grateful for their assistance.

Do not use this firm , let me down and lied so many times , felt like I was doing there job for them . Very unprofessional and not very nice to clients I had to get the legal ombudsman involved
