Wasted my tims
I approached Rowberry Morris after a recommendation and liaised with Jordaine. At the start she listened and was attentive and I explained my current situation. I expressed the urgency of this case and it was clear what my requirements was. Week after week passed and I had minimal contact. A solicitor was instructed, Pamaldeep Holait. She emailed to introduce herself but from there we barely spoke. Herself and Jordaine constantly advised without paperwork from the Local Authority, they cannot do anything which I understood. However I did not understand how they were unable to get any response on the individual evidence and concerns from the Local Authority in 6 weeks. Every week I called and emailed, asking is there any update? And I kept getting told, they will email etc etc. I was asking questions by email when I was unsure what to say and do when questioned by the social worker/local authority and I got no support at all. All I wanted was honesty and be direct. If you didn't want the case, I would of accepted it if I was told. Instead of saying we are chasing yet I saw no evidence of it. Again the question goes back to, I understand you need to apply for legal aid and you don't want to work for free, I get that. But surely to get paid you would be firm, chase the Local Authority, express assertiveness. I didn't get that impression and 6 weeks has been wasted and I am in the same position with no progress. I was left with no alternative but to find another solicitor so I am very disappointed and let down.
