I have been on TW Solicitors' books since 2020 until March 2026, and I can wholeheartedly say that they are an absolutely city-calibre legal outfit. Across every specialist arm of TW, you can guarantee the very same standard of excellence in service. Their solicitors — spanning Family Law, Wills & Probate, and Conveyancing — are absolutely top-notch. They know their craft deeply, and each one carries an air of quiet confidence that places you in the safest of legal hands, whilst remaining refreshingly positive about outcomes. Crucially, they also set realistic expectations — something that has always been greatly appreciated. When it comes to administrative matters, I have never once had cause to question their billing, owing to their exceptional level of transparency and clarity of presentation. Should you need to contact them, their response times are remarkably swift — invariably within the day. Their management team are humane and approachable, always willing to reach a reasonable agreement should the need arise. I could go on indefinitely, drawing from six years of real-life experience — but suffice it to say, I would not flinch for a moment in recommending these well-oiled legal minds. Their offices are equally impressive, which only confirms that this is no gimmick of a firm, but rather a responsible practice that takes genuine pride in its reputation. As I closed my files with them, it was a beautiful conclusion — and delivered precisely on time. Galbraith Gorman dealt with my divorce for 2 years, not a week went by with updated information, I could not thank him enough in what was a very hard work divorce by my ex wife, even through covid19 he still kept upto speed and knocking the obstacles down, always one step ahead definitely worth the money.

We have recently purchased a new house and Thackray Williams were our solicitors. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. Even when, half way through the process, and unforeseen circumstances meant our solicitor changed, their professional and dedication meant this had no negative impact on the service they provided. Zoe was brilliant, and did all she could to ensure we completed, even allowing us to complete early. We would highly recommend the company. Thank you for all you have done for us.

Melanie at Thackray Williams did the conveyancing for the sale of my flat in London. Communication was good, and overall the process worked well. The actual sale took a long time to complete - but that was entirely down to the buyer's end repeatedly causing delays. I did sometimes have to chase up if I hadn't heard anything for a while (typically if there had been no actual progress in the meantime), but Melanie was persistent in chasing the buyers' solicitor behind the scenes, and eventually the sale went through fine.

As the freeholder of a property, I needed advice on whether a lease required a Deed of Covenant to be drafted on its transfer – it turned out that it did, due to its age. Previously, I had contacted a number of other firms, and they had all turned down the work or asked me to send in an email which was replied to a few weeks later if at all. With Thackray Williams I was put straight through to David Gibson who clearly outlined the relevant law and what was required. When the leaseholder requested that the Deed be produced quickly, so as not to delay completion on the sale of the lease, Thackray Williams stepped up to the plate. I found all staff very professional and accessible and couldn’t find fault. I’ve no hesitation in thoroughly recommending them.
