    Fantastic and professional conveyancing!!

    We were really messed about by another firm and nearly lost the sale of our flat. A friend highly recommended Andrew Ringham so we took a massive risk and instructed him in the middle of a purchase (while cancelling the other firm). It was the best decision we made. The process was so much more streamlined and less stressful. Andy didn’t require continuous chasing and just got on with things. We never felt fobbed off and could always get hold of Andy if we needed to speak to him. We managed to complete on our purchase within 2 months which meant we didn’t need to rent when we sold our flat. We were fully expecting to need to rent given how slow things progressed with the other firm. This saved us so much stress and funds. Choosing Andy and his team is an absolute no-brainer and we will never use another conveyancer.

    Efficient and smooth process

    Melanie at Thackray Williams did the conveyancing for the sale of my flat in London. Communication was good, and overall the process worked well. The actual sale took a long time to complete - but that was entirely down to the buyer's end repeatedly causing delays. I did sometimes have to chase up if I hadn't heard anything for a while (typically if there had been no actual progress in the meantime), but Melanie was persistent in chasing the buyers' solicitor behind the scenes, and eventually the sale went through fine.

    As the freeholder of a property, I needed advice on whether a lease required a Deed of Covenant to be drafted on its transfer – it turned out that it did, due to its age. Previously, I had contacted a number of other firms, and they had all turned down the work or asked me to send in an email which was replied to a few weeks later if at all. With Thackray Williams I was put straight through to David Gibson who clearly outlined the relevant law and what was required. When the leaseholder requested that the Deed be produced quickly, so as not to delay completion on the sale of the lease, Thackray Williams stepped up to the plate. I found all staff very professional and accessible and couldn’t find fault. I’ve no hesitation in thoroughly recommending them.

Previously, I had contacted a number of other firms, and they had all turned down the work or asked me to send in an email which was replied to a few weeks later if at all. With Thackray Williams I was put straight through to David Gibson who clearly outlined the relevant law and what was required. When the leaseholder requested that the Deed be produced quickly, so as not to delay completion on the sale of the lease, Thackray Williams stepped up to the plate. I found all staff very professional and accessible and couldn’t find fault. I’ve no hesitation in thoroughly recommending them.
