Me and my wife Meera have had a long battle with the visa process with a few previous solicitors who did a really poor job and were very amateur in their approach hence the reason for a such a cheap rate. We now understand why people who charge a cheap rate dont really do a thorough job. We were introduced by Rita Kotecha by one of our mum's friend and I had also heard a few good words from other known people. Once we got to know about how much Rita charged we were very skeptical but now having worked with Rita and her colleagues we can assure you that the price you pay for a solicitor matters a lot. Rita right from the get go was very clear and thorough in her approach. She put us at the centre of the application and was working diligently to cover every aspect of the visa process. Even though me and my wife had put in a lot of input she didnt hold back in her professional approach and opinions. As much as she was positive she was also very practical and tactical in her approach. Her honesty in her work and making sure she was true to the process stands out the most. She didnt want us to cut corners, or any loop holes and ensured we didnt fall into any other false traps with the poor advice that is out their. Due to me being also very detailed and having done all the research I doubted her work but she stood firm in her decisions and held her values. I would recommend anyone to take Rita as your immigration specialist because she is true, honest and open with her work. Yes the price is high however you rather pay someone to do a job of high quality than spend money on someone who is just wanting to tick the boxes. She went above and beyond and whenever we had any questions or query she gave us the honest answer and followed through on every aspect of the visa process. We are very thankful and grateful to Rita and co.

When you are being prosecuted you need to hire someone who knows the law well enough to represent you so that you don't get hit even harder that you deserve. It happens all the time, the (throwing the book at you method). The book hurts. The police and CPS like to escalate charges. If you don't have a representative who knows what might happen. I had a solicitor from another firm before, same case. His representation was discontinued and I hired a lady from Richard Nelson LLP. She made sure the law remained honest, I was given a consequence that matched my offence not a hugely escalated sentence that would have been unfair. She knows things like what sentencing guidelines the court are empowered with and made a point to the court that they accepted which otherwise would have left me in a position where I would no doubt have been prosecuted again in future. Eve Paterson skillfully negotiated the safe zone between there should be a consequence and escalated charges to make it sound worse than it was. In my very humble opinion,if you are going into a courtroom without her good luck. But if I had a choice I would use Richard Nelson. Eve if possible.

The Solicitor that works for this firm was recommended to me by my financial advisor after the loss of a family member. The Solicitor was experienced, professional, extensive knowledge base. They also listened, took time to go through things and explained everything clearly and concisely, they also were very caring, patient and understanding during this difficult time for me. I also had contact with other members of the team and can only say they were friendly, respectful, professional and also came across as caring. Having been dismissed by my employer for gross misconduct (over an incident with crucial context), I was referred by the school to the TRA - the government agency which decides if teachers should or should not be barred from the profession. I was distraught at this outcome. After working with my trade union representative for several weeks - first during the school's internal investigation of me, then with forming a reply to the TRA - I felt I needed much more support, especially with the ongoing personal stress at the time (loss of earnings, potential derailing of career, etc). After researching and speaking to several lawyers from different firms, I was most impressed by Victoria at Richard Nelson LLP. She gave me her time and understanding in a way other advisers did not - not just in the duration of our initial call, but in the listening and immediate understanding that my case had complexities. I then thanked my trade union representative for their support, and instructed Victoria immediately. I was guided through every step of the process of building the strongest written case to the TRA, which was explained to me with great clarity. My input and 'tasks' was made clear so that Victoria could then collate the elements into a coherent piece. She also took great care to make sure the deep context of my case was clearly established and evidenced as inextricably linked to the case. Because of this, I felt fully supported and listened to at every step. The TRA found in my favour, and I do not believe this would have been possible without Victoria's representation. Her professionalism also gave me peace of mind throughout that I was in the best hands; I actually began to feel positive and less overwhelmed. I would recommend Victoria Rees in the strongest terms. If you are looking for an outstanding education solicitor look no further than Samantha Trowbridge at Richard Nelsons Solicitors (and her assistant Trudi Salmon) . Navigating the SEN and EHCP system is a minefield and mentally exhausting to the point where you feel broken. Samantha managed to balance brilliant legal strategy with profound empathy, it was as if she was fighting for her own child. She made us feel like we were a team, and she was the captain. When we thought there was no way we could get a favourable outcome, she never gave up the fight, even though we thought we were losing, she gave us hope, and that is what we held on to. She made us feel seen and supported every step of the way. Her (and Trudi's ) communication and support was beyond excellent, and she successfully won our case. I cannot thank her enough for securing an amazing education for my grandson in a specialist school. He now has a chance to be the best he can be and a happy school life. Thankyou doesn't touch the sides.

As a lawyer myself it was interesting for me to see things from the other side. I did not expect to be in a position to need the advice I required but was so relieved to find Steve Roberts - an extremely competent, calm and personable solicitor who put me at my ease within minutes of speaking to him.
