    Resolving a parking dispute with my neighbour

    I contacted Butcher and Barlow, as I have used these solicitors for many years, with my will and POA. I was directed to Paige Lester and was able to get an immediate face to face appointment to see her. At the time, I just needed advice, as I was lost as to how to resolve my problem. Paige immediately understood the problem and pointed me in the right direction to hopefully resolve the issue. After exploring what she suggested, we found an area in my Transfer Documents, which spelled out what could be actioned. Paige complied a letter to this effect and it was then sent to my neighbour. Since then, the problem seems to have been resolved and I am hoping this will continue. I can't thank Paige enough for all her wisdom and help and I know that if the problem should return, that I can go back to her for more help.

    After a very stressful and costly experience with another law firm, I was worried that I wouldn’t find a good solicitor to help me with my dispute. After calling several firms, I had an initial call with Thomas Sedley and felt comfortable with him immediately. He clearly explained what steps he would take to get the caveat on my probate application removed and was transparent about estimated costs. He was also very professional, personable and empathetic, which made the decision to instruct him even easier. I was impressed with his prompt action and after only a couple of succinct and effective emails to the person who lodged the caveat, it was withdrawn. This was a huge relief as I anticipated the dispute would drag on for many more months. I highly recommend Thomas for dispute resolution and I would be happy to use Butcher & Barlow again when I need further legal help. Thank you!

      Contentious Issue resolved immediately

      I was delighted with the service I received from Thomas and his assistant Emily Scott. I had a contentious probate issue following on from misinterpretation of a Will. I was getting nowhere and other firms wouldn't help. I had spoke to Thomas previously and he clearly was passionate and eager to assist as was his assistant Emily. The level of professionalism was exemplary that I received from this firm. Phonecalls and emails responded to without delay. Reassurances given and renewed confidence installed in my predicament. I had previously had the firm recommended to me and now I know why. I was in an almost intractable position through administrative errors in a Will. The situation was thoroughly investigated by Thomas and colleagues and resolved within a few short days. I highly recommend this solicitor and his firm as a gold standard solicitor,knowledgeable,thorough and dedicated with a confident manner. A credit to the profession and Butcher & Barlow.
