I would like to say a huge thank you to Darren Jones for all of his help and support this last year. Not only is Darren reliable, punctual and incredibly trustworthy, he really puts us at ease in situations that can be very stressful & challenging. Darren has represented my son on numerous occasions now. Then this evening, after a very long and stressful day, my son said to me “as soon as I saw Darren I felt safe” —as a mother, that meant the world to me. My son has never said that about anyone before. Darren is a strong voice for his clients, and always makes sure we are treated fairly in all situations. Due to my son having ASD & ADHD, I often find myself having to translate things for him when it comes to professionals. But I’ve never had to do that with Darren. From the first time he met my son, he engaged really well with him, and spoke to him on a level he understood. I would recommend Darren to anyone who feels they need a rock by their side during a difficult time (he has the most amazing suits & style too!!!) .He is brilliant, and we are so grateful for everything you’ve done for us Darren. -From L&H

Darren was very professional and got the best possible outcome for my case. When I was in the Runcorn custody suite and first saw duty solicitor David I immediately felt like someone was on my side. Pre interview, he was amazing and extinguished my anxiety about the whole process. He was clear, concise and professional. Thankfully I was released on bail soon after the interview and a no further action to the offences was given a week later by the police. I recommend this firm and of course David who is semi retired but you cannot put a price on experience. Thank you!

Amazing service, staff so helpful Shakirra and Sam both constantly reassured us with all the steps along the way and was always helpful to answer questions when we’ve rang up etc, never needed to chase up any steps in the process because they are extremely fast with getting the process all done amazing how quick they have got this all done for us, would 100% recommend to others so supportive throughout it all cannot thank these two women enough there amazing at what they do.

Having never been in a situation where we needed legal representation before, this was a really stressful time for us. Samantha put us at ease every step of the way and Darren was an absolute star in court. He put the whole family at ease and really fought our corner, winning the case. We bought our house through BLJ with nothing major going wrong. They were upfront about fees and there were no hidden fees or surprises along the way. The app was really helpful at the beginning when we were trying to keep track of everything that needed to be done. It was useful to have all communication in one place and not scattered throughout emails. The only reason it’s not a 5 star review is that at the very end, the crux point of trying to complete, it was tricky to get hold of our solicitors to confirm information when we were getting nervy as first time buyers. We wanted a little more reassurance that everything was going to go ahead on the planned date. Overall, I would recommend.

Initially impressed with the portal but soon realised that the responses are slow and are holding responses not action driven. No clear updates on what is outstanding or what needs to be sorted by who. Difficult to get hold of the solicitors by phone or portal. 48hrs SLA to respond to messages but still waiting following this. The process of buying a house is outdated and needs to be more streamlined. The statement for our mortgage was not requested in a timely manner as one example, SLA not known by the solicitor which was 48 hrs not 24hrs which delayed the sale. Informed by solicitor it was requested on Monday but when I called First direct it was only requested on Tuesday with 48hr leadtime. The statement is valid for 30 days. Why would you not have requested this earlier? Nothing seems to be streamlines at all with no clear communication with Seller at all.
