Our daughter had an EHCP that simply was not fit for purpose, and Samantha represented us throughout the appeal process and helped us secure the funding she needed from the Local Authority. Our life has changed immensely for the better now that our daughter has been granted a special school placement. Whereas before there was no hope we can look towards a brighter future - our daughter now able to access education and her mental health is improving every day. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for Samantha and Trudi's help in this matter, I don't know where we would have been without them! Samantha was so patient with us and seemed to genuinely understand the issues we faced. She offered a lot of practical advice and was there with us every step of the way during this long and horrible process. If you are looking for an outstanding education solicitor look no further than Samantha Trowbridge at Richard Nelsons Solicitors (and her assistant Trudi Salmon) . Navigating the SEN and EHCP system is a minefield and mentally exhausting to the point where you feel broken. Samantha managed to balance brilliant legal strategy with profound empathy, it was as if she was fighting for her own child. She made us feel like we were a team, and she was the captain. When we thought there was no way we could get a favourable outcome, she never gave up the fight, even though we thought we were losing, she gave us hope, and that is what we held on to. She made us feel seen and supported every step of the way. Her (and Trudi's ) communication and support was beyond excellent, and she successfully won our case. I cannot thank her enough for securing an amazing education for my grandson in a specialist school. He now has a chance to be the best he can be and a happy school life. I first made contact with Richard Nelson via a google research. My specialty is swimming Instructor. After searching through many DBS specialists I came across Richard Nelson, thankfully! Their reviews from past clients and speaking to the administrator over the phone made my decision to use them as my representation I was appointed Mark who from start to finish was professional, down to earth and most of all reassuring with what the process entails and how we were going to respond.
