If you get assigned to Nicola, I strongly suggest asking to be assigned to someone else. Reasonable and clearly documented timescales were seriously exceeded, without valid cause or explanation, which lead me to suffer financial detriment. Poor communication, refusal to give time estimates, and ignored queries left me in the dark for the majority of the process, which was very stressful. Once my case eventually completed, I wrote a complaint documenting the numerous instances that Nicola had breached the timelines promised, Taylor Rose's own Client Care Code, as well as the Solicitors Regulation Authority's Code of Conduct. Her breaches of code were so evidently egregious that Taylor Rose chose to refund me approx 25% of my total legal bill as compensation for the poor service received and financial harm. I'm glad they did, but I would rather have just had the service I was promised be done without the pain and effort of chasing her, then working through a complaints process. Giving this 2 stars because at least the work got done eventually, after a struggle, and the complaints process dealt with my case fairly.

Emma Leighton-Carey did a fantastic job as our conveyancer on our simultaneous sale and purchase. This is the second time we've used Emma for our conveyancing and we could not recommend her more. Her client service is outstanding and she made what was a stressful time feel significantly smoother. We felt very reassured knowing we were in excellent hands. Amber Simpson also did a fantastic job covering whilst Emma was on leave pushing forward our transaction to exchange - it was great to have a seamless transition. We wouldn't hesitate to approach both Emma and Amber again.

We used Taylor Rose and had a great experience overall. We originally went through Simply Conveyancing, who provided us with a quote before transferring us over to Taylor Rose. Looking back, I think that was the best move, as we had some issues with how the service was initially sold to us by Simply Conveyancing, which left a bad taste in our mouths. The cost was communicated to us as an all-inclusive price, but this turned out not to be the case, which was disappointing. That said, I accept some responsibility, as I could have done more due diligence and asked further questions upfront. However, the Taylor Rose team were very professional and made the whole process feel seamless. Perla and Elda managed our purchase really well and kept things moving smoothly. At times AML checks felt a little excessive, but I understand why they were necessary. Overall, a really positive experience, and I would highly recommend Taylor Rose. Thanks, Perla and Elda!

Second time using Taylor Rose as my solicitor and would give them 4 out of 5 stars. The reason I did not award five stars is that the transaction took longer than I expected. However, the matter involved complex lender requirements and additional complications relating to the property, which added delays and made the process more challenging than anticipated. That said, I would like to recognise Ayuni Mudalige for her professionalism and support. Towards the end of the transaction, she was highly collaborative, approachable and proactive in helping bring the matter to completion. It genuinely felt like everyone was working towards the same goal and trying to get the transaction over the finish line. Her communication and willingness to assist made a positive difference to my overall experience. Despite the delays, I am satisfied with the outcome and the service I received. Would I use Taylor Rose again? Yes, particularly if I had the opportunity to work with Ayuni Mudalige again. Her dedication and professionalism gave me confidence that the matter was being handled with care.
