After a very stressful and costly experience with another law firm, I was worried that I wouldn’t find a good solicitor to help me with my dispute. After calling several firms, I had an initial call with Thomas Sedley and felt comfortable with him immediately. He clearly explained what steps he would take to get the caveat on my probate application removed and was transparent about estimated costs. He was also very professional, personable and empathetic, which made the decision to instruct him even easier. I was impressed with his prompt action and after only a couple of succinct and effective emails to the person who lodged the caveat, it was withdrawn. This was a huge relief as I anticipated the dispute would drag on for many more months. I highly recommend Thomas for dispute resolution and I would be happy to use Butcher & Barlow again when I need further legal help. Thank you!

We feel that the guidance received in choosing the different options was explained very clearly and with transparent potential costs. At all stages communicates were excellent and the complexity of the legal documents were broken down and simplified for our understanding. From beginning to end everything was dealt with. Not knowing how to proceed with the Deputyship and the full assessments required we were more than pleased with the results and outcomes. Due to this we carried on and completed both our wills and Lasting Power of Attorney ensuring we are covered for the near future. Thank you.

I want to say a heart felt thanks to Sam Dale at Butcher and Barlow for dealing with my claim for compensation after a fall I had in the coop in 2024.It has taken 18 months to be resolved but he kept me informed that whole way to get the situation resolved and for me to receive my compensation.
