Choose JMW Solicitors if you enjoy being financially gutted, legally abandoned, and emotionally drained. They quoted me £3,500. I’ll end up paying £15,000—for a case that never even made it to trial. The police had no evidence, I received an NFA (which they didn’t even tell me about for three months), and yet JMW kept building a fantasy bill as if they were preparing for the legal battle of the century. Want a solicitor? Tough. You'll be assigned a paralegal to fumble through your defence while they cash in as if you've got a King’s Counsel in your corner. My co-defendant was given discounts. Me? Left in the dark and billed to the core. On the day I was arraigned at Crown Court, they ghosted me completely. Imagine walking into court alone, wondering where your "premium legal team" is. That’s JMW. Absent when it matters. Rabid when it’s time to collect. I offered them £400/month to settle this mountain of fictional fees. Not enough for their taste—so they dipped into my child tax credits too. Vultures. The case was dead months before the trial date. No trial prep needed. No hours logged. Just an obscene tab for imaginary work. JMW didn’t defend me. They defrauded me. They didn’t act in my interest. They acted like debt collectors with law degrees. The worst mistake wasn’t being caught up in a case I was innocent of—it was hiring this soulless, predatory firm to "help" me. JMW didn’t have my back. JMW put a knife in it. What I've written down is just the tip of the iceberg of problems and complaints about this firm. JOKERS. Years later, I’m still shackled to the mess they created. Still paying for nothing. If you're reading this, save yourself. Find literally anyone else.

What a horrible experience! To date (3 weeks since I made my complaint) I am still waiting to be contacted by their complaint representative, they do not have a complaints procedure. My experience with this firm has been awful. Beverly and Jessica tried to bully me into paying £5000 for an hour conference with my barrister, when they didn’t even have a file open for me. I refused as the amount of money made no sense to me but also, the conference wasn’t needed. I had already gotten advice from my barrister. When I told them this, they said they won’t read the advice from my barrister until I paid £1000. I made this payment. Upon receiving the payment and seeing the advice, they doubled down on the conference and ask for £4000 or they wouldn’t represent me. I said that’s fine, I want my money back, they then sent me a bill in retrospect and literally billed EVERY conversation they had with me, some TWICE. They billed me for the 30 min free initial call which they had initially offered for free, they billed me for an hour conference I had with them which I had already paid for separately, they billed me for them send an email to their staff and their admin sending it to me, the stuff on the bill was shocking and made up. They even billed me for asking for a price breakdown, budget and how they billed as well as asking for any contract to sign me on. The bill added up to £1890 but they conveniently said, if I don’t pursue the £1000, they would right off the £890. I asked for their complaint procedure… all I got was an email. The guy from the email said he’d get back to me… it’s been 3 weeks. I have made a formal complaint to the SRA, I have applied for a charge back from my bank and just waiting for the 8 weeks to pass and will make contact with the legal ombudsman. My experience with this firm? Awful!

These solicitors took on a personal injury claim 5 years ago. They grossly mismanaged expectations and also had the case struck out after missing deadlines and suing the incorrect person. They caused untold mental stress to my family. I had to take out a solicitor negligence case against them which I in turn won.

AVOID AVOID AVOID JMW AVOID AVOID AVOID. This firm advised me to issue a caveat on the incorrect party. After this JMW partner left the firm, another JMW partner said I must change the caveat to 'another' party. Lots of bad advise. Overall out of pocket by minimum £28k. I don't have this kind of money. Phone calls are charged premium rate and the emails are worse. ZERO empathy.

I was recommend to contact JMW solicitors by my crash investigator. Mr Dan Martin handled my case with was mainly representing me with my police complaint. I received a very poor service from Mr Martin and really regret involving this company.

Very regret to choose JMW solicitors .Craig Marsden and his team Non professional and un trained .Never get response of my query they are very rude and non serious .I waste all my money and time . Never recommended to any one. Even on my last requests to them please make hard copy of all my case and give to me same like before no response and rude attitude . Please think again and again to choose them otherwise you will be suffer .

I couldn't recommend JMW enough, with specific mention to Sahar Handford and Elisha Kaur, who went the extra MILES AND MILES, out of office time, at weekends and personal messages of support. For a retired guy with head and body injuries, I'm not quite sure what I'd have done without, JMW and these two ladies specificly who worked tirelessly to patch together my incoherence, for barrister able to work feverishly behind the scenes from Magistrates to Crown Court. Most would have written my case off, with "weight" of prosecution, but these 3 ladies, were awesome, to the point the judge was very critical of prosecution and many factors, that sees justice done. I have intelligence, but struggle with my C-PTSD, from years living and working over Africa and Middle East, I can now look forward to my retirement because of JMW, Sahar, Elisha, not forgetting, Erim the Battle Axe Barrister - she was awesome too - hardly spoke in court, she had already done her work, whilst the Judge focussed a little leg slapping to the pimped up prosecution - my team of lovelies saw though "their elaborations" and believed me / on me, so did the judge, many thanks, I couldn't put into words just how much, Terence xxx

If you wish to be ignored for all communication JMW is the solicitor for you! When your Solicitor goes on one of their many holidays any communication will simply be ignored Phone calls will be met with "Nobody is in we will call you back" and little to no information will be supplied if you do happen to be responded to.

Enquired about a driving charge and was told they can't help before I'd even finished explaining the situation. Another solicitor only in it for the payday. Would definitely avoid

After two years into a case I changed Solicitors to JMW. I was assigned Solicitor Charlotte King, she was excellent , very professional, very efficient, always promptly responded to any queries I had and kept me informed throughout. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She reassured me throughout, with an extremely polite and positive manner and helped me through a very stressful time. I can’t rate her highly enough and fully recommend JMW Solicitors. Thank you.
