    Legal Claim against me regarding a disputed loan

    I had a complex loan arrangement with my ex-wife, and she took legal action against me seeking considerable sums of money to resolve her claims. The complexity of the original loan and subsequent adjustments, combined with a divorced couple’s emotions appeared to be challenging situation. Mr Newton was able to review all past documentation provided by both sides to establish the tenuous legal basis of my ex-wife’s claim and provide strong arguments in my favour. He also explained my defence in law, and the advantages and risks going forward. Through his detailed presentation of the facts, and past events, as determined under the law, we were able to settle for a very acceptable sum and the matter was concluded quickly, to my great satisfaction and appreciation.

      Great Solicitor!

      I strongly recommend Julian Burrows in the Plymouth branch of Wolferstans. When I discovered that my stepmother had her Life Interest Trust in her own private wealth account, I was very concerned. Julian was able to oversee the setting up of a dedicated Trust which was very reassuring for myself and siblings. Julian is very knowledgeable about trusts and guided me through the legalities. He also has a very good pastoral manner and a good sense of humour!

      Liz and her team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They supported me through a really traumatic sensitive experience and managed this in a really sensitive way at all times. They were professional and the communication at each stage was brilliant. When you are going through a case like this it can feel daunting and at times don’t always understand however Liz and her team were responsive and took time to explain each step along the way. I felt well informed and supported throughout and I genuinely couldn’t thank them enough. I would reccomend to all of my family and friends in terms of my experience.

      Perfect transaction for sale of house at auction

      Joey, Connor and the rest of the team did a perfect job when we sold our house at auction. All communications were very quick. They were also quick to react to one or two unusual occurrences. It seems that although there would typically be one point of contact for a particular stage the rest of the team are quickly able to effectively step in if the main person is unavailable. Their app for collecting the details is simple and intuitive. The ID checks and electronic signatures that they use worked well. I opted for a completely digital process and had no problems at all. This way the tasks were completely portable, which was useful because we were between two homes and elsewhere.
