I would not recommend Barcan+Kirby. They did not inform me of the risks involved with following their litigation advice because, in their words, they did not want the implications of being locked into an appeal process to cause alarm. Having then spent thousands with firm, I had to withdraw from the court process with no outcome. I then transferred to another firm of solicitors and after receiving much better advice and customer care, I concluded my application for a leasehold extension, at a fraction of the cost I had spent with Barcan+Kirby.

The Solicitor we used had good experience and understanding of the aera of law we were focusing on - trust. she advised us well, but the length of time we had to wait was too long, and i had to chase on numerous occasions.

I chose Barcan-Kirby based on the reviews online having previously experienced poor service from others when moving house. Thankfully they were a breath of fresh air, both Farah Akram and Janice Jones, always on top of all queries, the only challenge was that the buyer’s solicitors were not as proactive and professional. Thankfully you both Farah and Janice. I would certainly recommend both Farah and Janice, as well as Barcan+Kirby Richard Barrett

Had conveyancing practice deal with the purchase of a new home for me 4 years ago, & I’m still being told by lenders that part of the property doesn’t belong to me!!

During your recent phone conversation with her, you confirmed you are uncertain about which of part the property is not owned. Unfortunately, this means there isn’t any further assistance we’re able to provide at this stage.

All the staff have been professional, kind and helpful through out the process of buying our house.
