Harrington Carmichael were offered to me as a recommended solicitor, I thought this might mean that it was because the developer I was buying from would get some sort of financial kickback in fact, this was not the case and the recommendation came from the quality of their service and the reasonable price. Throughout the whole process everybody I dealt with was professional calm and knowledgeable putting me at complete ease. For this review, I wanted specifically to call out for praise MJ, Lauren Adams and Jessica Brooks for additional praise as they were truly superb.

Myself and my wife are expecting our first newborn and we had the task of upsizing from a one bedroom flat to a 3 bed house. Once we found the home we wanted and struck a deal with the developer, we then had to choose a conveyancing service for both sale and purchase on a part exchange. HC solicitors were highly recommended and we haven't regretted taking to the recommendation. The process of sale and purchase was handled smoothly and professionally by HC solicitors. We were ready for completion within two months of paying a holding deposit for our new-build. This ease and smooth process made a world of difference for us because we had many other challenges to deal with outside our home move. In a nutshell, I will recommend HC solicitors to any friend and family in the future without hesitation. Ellie was the most helpfu and professional solicitor I have come across, her advice and assistance were beyond the call of duty.
Using their services for our first home based on builders recommendation. Guess made a mistake. Feels like they are more of my builders solicitor and not ours. Initial interaction feels transactional, requested to meet our solicitor which was refused and asked for more money for this. No sense of empathy or intention of help. Feels like made a mistake, should have chosen local solicitor.
I have recently completed on my first property and used Ellena as my conveyancer. She was absolutely amazing and made the whole process as easy as it could be for me. Her thoroughness and attention to detail gave me complete piece of mind and she was always on the ball with updates. As well as being super approachable and patient with all of my questions. Could not recommend anyone more.

The solicitor handling the sale of my property; ‘Caroline Hilson’ we couldn’t ask for anyone better during the whole process. Communication is key as well as knowledge. I usually dread having to deal with the legal side of buying and selling property but dealing with Sam and Mary-Jane was a really positive and fresh experience. What was particularly valuable to me, was how responsive the team whole team were. Emails were always answered, unusually within the hour and calls returned on the same day. We also met all the deadlines set, which was the Cherry on the top! They were busy but never made me feel like they were too busy to talk! I’ve recommended them several times since our transactions and will continue to do so. Great company to work with.

Jed and his team at Herrington Carmichael have been very helpful, thorough in research, robust and timely in resolving matters, to maintain the privacy of our garden and property boundary when our neighbour was building next to our property. He was able to research and explain the deeds, his approach was very balanced and reassuring, and the matter was resolved appropriately with an agreed resolution moving forwards.
