I had an abysmal unsupportive and really expensive experience with these solicitors, culminating with them deliberately failing to alert me to an upcoming hearing, and claiming that the courthouse had told them I had dismissed them - a process that is impossible; so - a legal firm that isn’t honest - they left me to burn when I was seeking safety for my son, in the most disloyal show of bad behaviour. By coincidence I had already put in pages multiple complaints about their behaviour and not a single one of the complaints was given any weight by them whatsoever so my advice is to avoid this group at all costs- they are an appalling group of solicitors. When I complained to the ombudsman, I was told that no action would be taken against them as “not enough complaints have been before”. So don’t expect help from the ombudsman who is clearly not impartial. I chose Horsham Family Law and I believe if I had use them instead of Stowe Family Law, I would’ve had a much better service all through, than I ever got from Stowe. Needless to say, as the icing on the cake, when Horsham Family Law requested the case file, from Stowe, they refused to give us almost any of it. Makes you wonder why doesn’t it? Maybe the rest of their tactics were as bad as the very badly written Lawyers brief they provided my barrister in court I did manage to get evidence of from them. Avoid at all costs, employee at your cost.

Liz Hughes has been our solicitor for the past several months as she helps guide us through a very difficult time for one of my daughters. I find Liz to be extremely thorough and educational in her responses to any and all of our questions while being kind and sensitive to the difficult circumstances that my daughter and granddaughter are going through. Liz does a great job crafting our responses to questions/issues from the other parties legal team who we are dealing with in this situation. The case she is handling for our family is very complex to include dealing with some international issues/law and she is really good at consulting with others if the concerns are in anyway outside of her expertise. I appreciate that Liz has been very forthcoming and honest with us regarding this case while also being sensitive to the tough circumstances my daughter and granddaughter our facing during this time while all of their immediate family is in the United States. I feel that we are receiving excellent guidance and legal counsel with Liz in charge of our case. Also, due to the complexity of my daughter's situation, Liz has been working closely with Kate Anderson on this case from the very beginning. Kate also provides excellent legal advice/counsel while also ensuring my daughter is treated as a person, first and foremost. Yvonne was so empathetic and helpful throughout the process. As a victim of domestic abuse it felt so reassuring to have a solicitor who was so understanding and knowledgeable. Always with one eye on the mounting costs through the actions of the other party Danielle ensured that the temperature was not raised but also was not slow in rebutting forcefully when required. Stowe provided fantastic counsel whose advice and advocacy at FDR was unassailable. I cannot recommend Stowe family law and their team including Alex Martin and Danielle Ford too highly for financial remediation advice and counsel. The result was a positive outcome which was achieved through their hard work and efforts on my behalf.
