I contacted them after being given the number to seek help from them with my housing matter. And after explaining my situation and taking all my details (if I work , how much do I get paid… which I don’t find correct to give all these information), I received an email that in one week I will be contacted to discuss and they were going to give me some advices if not able to take my case. I called them after two weeks not contact, and saying they will call me when a lawyer with check all the information . And just last Saturday after 3 weeks waiting , they sent me an email “ our team has considered your enquiry and we write to confirm that we do not have the capacity to take on your case” . And no any additional information or advice given.

During a time that felt difficult and overwhelming, Lily has provided clear and thorough advice, always there to help clarify things that felt daunting and confusing providing expert legal advice that has made navigating this process much easier.

No response to initial enquiry or follow-up email – disappointing service for urgent tribunal matter I contacted Duncan Lewis Solicitors on 1 April 2026 requesting urgent solicitor representation for an ongoing Employment Tribunal claim with a linked social housing dispute. I clearly explained that I am currently out of work, have already submitted an ET1 and received the ET3 response, and urgently need experienced legal counsel to prepare for the initial hearing. I have substantial evidence and asked to explore Legal Aid eligibility or suitable funding options. I received an automated reply the same day confirming my details had been forwarded to the relevant team. It provided Client Referral ID Number 285621087 and stated that someone would contact me “at their earliest opportunity during office hours”. I sent a polite follow-up email asking for an update, but have received no response to either my original enquiry or the follow-up. It is now 9 April 2026 — over a full week later — and I have had zero contact whatsoever: no phone call, no email, and no acknowledgement. This complete lack of follow-up from a firm that advertises itself as a top-tier Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked practice is very disappointing. When someone facing active tribunal proceedings, significant stress, and an urgent need for professional representation reaches out, basic communication and timely response should be the minimum standard. The silence has left me feeling ignored and more overwhelmed at a time when I most need reliable legal support to move my case forward and seek justice. I don't know if the firm is going through a difficult period, but this is how I have been treated so far. Your work is very professional, accurate, and supportive, especially when it comes to handling clients’ cases. Speaking from my own experience, I am satisfied with the way my case has been managed so far. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. First, access to your lawyers by phone is quite limited. The contact numbers are often not reachable, which can be frustrating for clients who need urgent guidance. Second, when you accept a client’s immigration case, it would be better to provide continued support if the case is refused. At least one appeal should be submitted before closing the case. I know several people who were your clients, and when their cases were refused, their files were closed immediately. In contrast, many other legal services continue supporting their clients through the appeal and review process. Overall, your service is strong, but improving communication and post-decision support would make it even better.
