    Patient, professional, and a pleasure to work with

    Selecting and using a family solicitor is a difficult, costly, and can be an emotionally challenging process. I spoke to Stowe initially between Christmas ’25 and New Years at short notice. From the first conversation onwards, I was very comfortable with my decision to use Stowe and pursue a C100 application, to achieve a ‘Lives with Both’ order. I ended up working extensively with Beth Courtney-Walker (Senior Associate) and have nothing but praise and thanks to her. We laid out and agreed a strategy, the discussed what we expected to happen (and what that might cost) before our C100 submission in March. When I grew impatient or got riled up responses from the Respondent; Beth patiently allowed me to vent and coached me back to our considered plan. Ultimately, this helped me cope with the process better. And most importantly led directly to the outcome we set out to achieve from the outset. A child focussed ‘Lives with Both’ order, which protects my daughters Court Ordered minimum time together. Whilst I only started with Stowe 10months ago, this is the most secure position I have been in as a parent since October 2020…. 6 years ago. THANK YOU BETH,

    What can I say that sums up the support I have had from Beth (Courtney- Walker) over the four years I have sought parental co-parenting for my little boy? Nothing. Nothing can put into words the legal guidance, professionalism, passion for her chosen career and ability to be human, and considerate of the emotions involved and insightful of the mind of others. Put simply, I have the equal care of my child because of her. As I sit and type this I have a tear in my eye (she's knows I can get all emotional!) but she also knows, I hope that my future as a father is as much down to her as it has been to me. Thank you can never convey my gratitude. But I hope she continues to practice for many years and keeps up the truly incredible job she did for me on behalf of others. You've been my angel.

      On my first meeting with Phoebe, I was nervous as it's my first time. My husband was bombarding me with demands that needed 'immediate' attention and I was overwhelmed and upset and couldn't think straight. Phoebe immediately reassured me that I was going to be ok from a legal standpoint. She listened with empathy and then talked through in an easily understandable way what we were going to do (no pressure to sign), how we would do it and what the process looks like.       I turned to Stowe Family Law for some much needed professional advice, enquiring about my rights when entering in a divorce. There is only so much you can glean from an internet search and like many problems there is a certain uniqueness to your own disputes. After providing a detailed account of my situation, Liz talked me through all the feasible options that I could face. Although my case is still ongoing, there have already been moments when her support, kindness and professionalism have made a profound difference to me, both as a parent and as a person. Going through family proceedings is one of the most emotionally challenging experiences anyone can face, especially when you are a parent trying to hold yourself together, protect your child, and find the strength to keep believing that justice will prevail. There are moments when the process feels overwhelming, when your confidence is shaken, and when it becomes difficult to trust that you will be heard and understood. During those moments, having Yvonne by my side has meant more than words can adequately express. What makes Yvonne truly exceptional is that she understands there is a human being behind every case file. She has demonstrated genuine compassion, patience, fairness and understanding, while always maintaining the professionalism and dedication you would hope for in a solicitor. She knows when to provide clear, considered advice and when to offer reassurance and help you find your strength again.
