Davisons Leamington: Excellent Work!

To put it simply the team at Davisons Leamington are excellent, and are due very high praise. They worked tirelessly on my behalf with a difficult case, balancing a strong degree of professionalism with immense levels of care and consideration for their clients. Where other firms in the process dithered and delayed, Davisons found solutions, getting everything resolved efficiently and effectively. The commitment and combined efforts of Justine and her team meant that I was able to spend Christmas in my new home with my family, something that had seemed a very remote prospect prior to their involvement. It is also worth noting that I am neurodivergent, in the past I had occasionally struggled to understand legal jargon and specific detail when speaking with other firms, even after explaining my additional needs to them. This was never an issue with Davisons, everyone I spoke with provided clear updates and assurance throughout, whether face-to-face, in mails or on the phone, and all done with a warmth and a genuine care that I hadn't expected from a law firm. They really are that good. So, if I'm ever in need of any future help with matters of family law or conveyancing, my first call will be to Davisons Leamington office.

Housing & Property

Unethical legal practices

We've hired Davisons for the sale and purchase of our house. Then we got to know our buyer also hired Davisons lawyers for the purchase of our house. When I queried about the conflict of interest I was told they have a special license for this and they have separate branches handling each case deferentially. At that point I was happy about this and I made them payment. After I did the payment and during the process they sent an email with a PDF for me to sign, it said that if there's conflict of interest arises then they will stop acting on behalf of both parties (me and my buyer) which means we have to get another lawyer to resolve conflicts. So its really shady on the Davidson's part to have this typeof business practice and only inform us about this mid process after even we paid them.

Family Law

Potential Conflict of interest.

I previously instructed Davisons Solicitors in a family matter several years ago. I was surprised and disappointed to find that they later accepted instructions from my ex-partner in proceedings directly involving me. From my perspective, this created a conflict of interest and left me questioning their conflict-check process. I’ve since raised the issue with the firm. Sharing this so others are aware of my experience.

Family Law

Lack of experience supporting neurodivergent clients

Family law team have no experience or competence to support and advise a person with neurodivergence. I have Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia. Communication used odd and pretentious language and they never answered any of my questions about why I had to agree to things that I perceived as fundamentally unfair. It would have helped if a partner or senior associate solicitor had been overseeing my case; however, the only contact I was offered was with a trainee lawyer.

Davisons Law is rude and inept. Avoid.

Taken from its website: “At Davisons law firm our clients are at the heart of everything we do.” That is a lie. In my experience with Davisons, clients are an inconvenience. Kieren Mulvey took £500 as an advance fee for conveyancing and then refused to speak to me. Nor would he email me. This went on for three weeks. Outrageous. So rude. How can a solicitor think it acceptable to refuse to speak to a new client for three weeks? What is the thought process that goes on in his mind that culminates in ‘no I shall not speak to my new client, he is just an inconvenience’? On Kieren Mulvey’s meaningless internet blurb, he writes: “I look to go the extra mile for my clients.” Typo. What he means is: “I run a mile from my clients.”. On the rare times I did receive emails from the ‘Head of Client Experience Team’ (yes, that is a real title, it is not a joke) and Kieren Mulvey’s junior the salutation was ‘Hi Geoffrey’. Extraordinary. It took me aback. I thought it must be a prank. I had never met those people yet, despite it being a formal, legal, professional setting, they acted as though we were friends meeting at a party. No, no, no. Disrespectful behaviour. Not good. I fired Davisons, and have gone to a proper law firm. I am writing this review to alert others that if you care for your affair to be dealt with professionally then you will do well to look elsewhere. Davisons had the responsibility of dealing with my money, my investment and my future home. The company could not care less. Buying a new home should be a pleasure. Davisons does all it can to make it frustrating.

Conflict of Interest

Purchased 2 flats in January 2023 and was forced to hire the "seller's" solicitor. I questioned whether if this raised any conflict of interest, I was told no. Years later, I have found that the construction had no funding, company was in debt and was involved in fraudulent activities. All marketing materials were false. When I asked Davisons to represent me and help me out of this scam, they said there is a conflict of interest because they represent the sellers in the first place. Moreover, I requested my full file of correspondence from them, they only sent the documents partially because I worry they are hiding something.

Delays and Errors in house purchase

I used Davisons Law for the purchase of a house in March 2024. In August 2025 I decided to sell the property and instructed a different law firm to act for me. They discovered the house had not yet been registered by Land Registry and needed to be so in order for the sale to proceed. I contacted Davisons Law and asked them to expedite the registration. They did not contact Land Registry until 19 DAYS later! And then, on the verge of exchange of contracts for the sale it was discovered that a mistake had been made by Davisons Law in the original Register Of Title and that this had to be corrected by Land Registry before exchange could take place. Rather than risk another 19 day fiasco I asked my current conveyancer to contact Land Registry to correct the error, for which I was charged nearly £250. I contacted Davisons Law for their comments on the mistake and they did not even apologise for their mistake.
