Even a simple question is too much

Have been having to ask the same question several times (even as simple as what page they are referring to which it turns out was incorrect in their contract report they produced). After numerous weeks they are still unanswered. Any response received is in legal jargon or not tailored to what we actually asked. Requests for a phone call for a significant issue ignored repeatedly. Main contact never responded to us despite our issues and the legal assistant clearly being able to give us the answers we were paying for as a client

Solicitor did not reply for 3 months

When I raised an issue of concern with the solicitor, she showed no empathy in her response. This broke my trust in her representing my company. The case was taken over by her senior colleague. When I instructed him to complete in the purchase of a property, he asked me to call him the next day to chat through the instruction. When I telephoned, as requested, he did not answer my call. When I chased him with emails, he did not reply. He did not contact me for three months. When I raised a complaint with the firm, they admitted “I can see that [he] does not respond to the communications from yourself. I apologise for this aspect of the matter, and I cannot excuse the fact the [he] did not follow up on aspects.”

Unresponsive

Unresponsive to emails and voicemails. Very difficult to get hold of. Huge delays in processing documentation. Provided inaccurate documents without acknowledgment. Exceeded agreed completion date by upwards of a week. Terrible service. Would not recommend.

Awful experience

Quite shocked by all the positive reviews when our experience has been nothing but negative if I’m honest. We could never get through to our solicitor Marcus, there was always a reason either on holiday/lunch/meetings/not in the office which seemed to be every time I called it didn’t matter what time it was this was always one of the reasons. The amount of calls I made asking for a call back from our solicitor Marcus which either never happened or his secretary would call back even though on countless times we have asked to speak to the solicitor who we are paying for. Emails barely responded too which is why I would have to call up. I think I spoke to Marcus twice the whole process! I think I did most of the chasing between the solicitor and estate agents myself to actually get things moving. Unfortunately the house we were buying went into probate so we had to pull out I spoke to Marcus and the secretary Sophia about this then told them we had found a new property I then get a phone call asking if I’m buying 2 properties now as again no one seems to communicate or update files so we have now changed solicitors who seem to have done more in a day then this company did in a week. Constantly chasing no matter of urgency. Was given incorrect information also at the start regarding a payment told by one member of staff a payment was covered and sorted but then when we eventually got to speak to Marcus that was apparently wrong and they needed more money all they could say was sorry he’s told you incorrectly. I would avoid this company if you actually want to have contact with your solicitors!

Disappointing And Unprofessional Performance

Very disappointing and unprofessional performance. I though this is a properly managed and trustworthy legal firm that can represent us professionally, but after working with the solicitor Ms Christine Salama we realised that what I thought was wrong. I contacted the firm in July about a hearing in 26 September just to do a simple disclosure of documents and paid £800. Even that I paid her all her money in full more than 2 months before the hearing date, she sent the documents at the last day and didn't send it to the defendant according to the Court instructions. The Court instructions was clear that we should send all the documents to the defendant 14 days before the hearing date. This has lead for the hearing to be vacated and all our time was wasted and now I will have to follow another procedure to reschedule the hearing. She failed to do a simple job and failed to do the work according to the Judge's instructions which has made the defendant to take advantage of her mistakes and caused the hearing to be vacated. I wouldn't have expected a fresh graduate student to make such a mistake especially that everything is clear in the Court's letter and written in English.

Great service from Davisons Law Lichfield

We have just sold a property , using Davisons solicitors and have been very pleased with the experience. Sufyaan and Emily were extremely helpful and very prompt in replying to queries. The office was also great in dealing with my mother who needed help with paper copies of contacts etc

Exceptional service from beginning ti end

Massive thanks to Shabnam Begum and Hannah Richardson who were both on the ball daily especially when the other side/vendor were both such hard work ! I didnt think they would have to do soooooo much chasing/work to get our purchase through but finally exchanged !! I will definately recommend them both to friends and family as this service could not be beaten anywhere - thanks again you are professional speedy stars - simply the best x

Conflict of Interest

Purchased 2 flats in January 2023 and was forced to hire the "seller's" solicitor. I questioned whether if this raised any conflict of interest, I was told no. Years later, I have found that the construction had no funding, company was in debt and was involved in fraudulent activities. All marketing materials were false. When I asked Davisons to represent me and help me out of this scam, they said there is a conflict of interest because they represent the sellers in the first place. Moreover, I requested my full file of correspondence from them, they only sent the documents partially because I worry they are hiding something.

Davisons Leamington: Excellent Work!

To put it simply the team at Davisons Leamington are excellent, and are due very high praise. They worked tirelessly on my behalf with a difficult case, balancing a strong degree of professionalism with immense levels of care and consideration for their clients. Where other firms in the process dithered and delayed, Davisons found solutions, getting everything resolved efficiently and effectively. The commitment and combined efforts of Justine and her team meant that I was able to spend Christmas in my new home with my family, something that had seemed a very remote prospect prior to their involvement. It is also worth noting that I am neurodivergent, in the past I had occasionally struggled to understand legal jargon and specific detail when speaking with other firms, even after explaining my additional needs to them. This was never an issue with Davisons, everyone I spoke with provided clear updates and assurance throughout, whether face-to-face, in mails or on the phone, and all done with a warmth and a genuine care that I hadn't expected from a law firm. They really are that good. So, if I'm ever in need of any future help with matters of family law or conveyancing, my first call will be to Davisons Leamington office.

Delays and Errors in house purchase

I used Davisons Law for the purchase of a house in March 2024. In August 2025 I decided to sell the property and instructed a different law firm to act for me. They discovered the house had not yet been registered by Land Registry and needed to be so in order for the sale to proceed. I contacted Davisons Law and asked them to expedite the registration. They did not contact Land Registry until 19 DAYS later! And then, on the verge of exchange of contracts for the sale it was discovered that a mistake had been made by Davisons Law in the original Register Of Title and that this had to be corrected by Land Registry before exchange could take place. Rather than risk another 19 day fiasco I asked my current conveyancer to contact Land Registry to correct the error, for which I was charged nearly £250. I contacted Davisons Law for their comments on the mistake and they did not even apologise for their mistake.
