Herrington carmichael acted for my company in a sale of 3 pubs. They asked for £10k in advance and then proceeded to issue invoices for work that had not been requested despite my firm instuction that no work should be carried out without my instruction. They then issued a small claims court case against my firm for non payment of invoices for work that had neither been requested or authorized. I also received fines from HMRC for work that they had been instructed on but missed filing dates. The property work they had done previously had been satisfactory but I would not use them again and definately not pay fees in advance.

We used Herrington Carmichael to assist with a neighbour dispute regarding trespassing. With Daniel’s support, we were able to achieve our desired outcome in a timely manner. Daniel was approachable, clear in his communication and instructions, and provided us with well-informed advice on the best options for resolution. All communication was transparent, and any costs incurred were clearly explained in advance before work was undertaken. As first time buyers using HTB, we were really nervous about the whole process. We’ve been told time and time again that solicitors are awful, they won’t respond, you’ll have to chase them etc. Well this was not our experience at all! Laura Oakley was incredible from day one, replying to emails within the day every time despite my many questions. We had an issue with having to ask for permission to keep pets in the property and she sorted this and got consent for us within days (as you can imagine this was sooo stressful for us so we were grateful for the speed she did this in!) I’ve called their offices a few times when I had questions I wanted to get sorted quickly and she (and whoever else picked up) always responded in a very friendly manner, like nothing was too much. We’ve just Exchanged and I’m hoping completion goes just as smoothly. We have used Bonnetts many times over the years and Martin has just successfully handled what was at times a tricky and fiddly commercial property sale. Throughout the process he was available for my numerous questions or if he wasn't he'd call me straight back, he gave sensible advice without too much jargon, he kept me on the straight and narrow and generally did a great job on our behalf. We had a great experience with the New Build team, who handled our conveyancing throughout the purchase of our new home. I had a long list of detailed questions throughout the process, and every question was answered promptly, clearly and professionally. They were both extremely helpful, responsive and reassuring whenever we needed clarification. The whole process was incredibly quick and smooth, and we really appreciated how efficiently everything was handled from start to finish. Thank you, for all your hard work and support throughout the process. We really appreciate it and would definitely recommend them to anyone purchasing a new-build home.

I cannot express my appreciation and gratitude to both Jed Temple & David Mortimer at Herrington Carmichael. During a very stressful, unexpected and difficult time with a neighbour dispute we were so incredibly relieved to have the support, kindness and brilliance of both these people.
