I recently required specialist Employment Law advice which needed to be settled in a short space of time. I contacted Emily (for the first time) and after a short telephone conversation documents were exchanged and a meeting was arranged. Emily explained the whole process in a "simple speak" manner and counselled me on my options - her brief and recommendations were thorough and the whole process was expedited extremely quickly - thank you! What was also very refreshing was that Emily was coaching a Law Graduate who sat in on our discussions, I wish the young Lady well in her chosen career path. We had a great experience with the New Build team, who handled our conveyancing throughout the purchase of our new home. I had a long list of detailed questions throughout the process, and every question was answered promptly, clearly and professionally. They were both extremely helpful, responsive and reassuring whenever we needed clarification. The whole process was incredibly quick and smooth, and we really appreciated how efficiently everything was handled from start to finish. Thank you, for all your hard work and support throughout the process. We really appreciate it and would definitely recommend them to anyone purchasing a new-build home.
Herrington carmichael acted for my company in a sale of 3 pubs. They asked for £10k in advance and then proceeded to issue invoices for work that had not been requested despite my firm instuction that no work should be carried out without my instruction. They then issued a small claims court case against my firm for non payment of invoices for work that had neither been requested or authorized. I also received fines from HMRC for work that they had been instructed on but missed filing dates. The property work they had done previously had been satisfactory but I would not use them again and definately not pay fees in advance.

Jess was amazing throughout the whole process, patiently answering all my questions and translating legal jargon into lay man terms for me. I never felt rushed or panicked by the process as Jess was always there with her calm and reassuring manner. During a very stressful, unexpected and difficult time with a neighbour dispute we were so incredibly relieved to have the support, kindness and brilliance of both these people.
