Discusting service

We had to use these solictors via our insurance company. Absolutely no urgency, never phoned back, only answered the occasional email at 5pm on a Friday, the costs were exorbitant for the service received. We complained about the first solicitor assigned to us and one of the partners then took over, only to ask us to forward all the correspondence we had already sent to the original solicitor. In the end we did the claim ourselves with the help of a claims consultant.

Thank you for all your hard work at the bleakest time of our lives x

The incredible Laura Hannah, Sunyana Sharma, Martyn Jackson and Caitlin Taylor put countless hours of work in and they were all incredibly knowledgeable, kind and tactful. It was (and still is) an utterly hellish situation but we finally gave up after the situation caused me to be hospitalised twice; due to the overwhelming stresses over many months. We should have realised much sooner that you just can’t beat the almighty power of a large institution - even if one of the most vulnerable people in society’s life has been totally destroyed. There quite simply is NO justice. If we were ever in such an abysmal situation again (please no, it’s nearly killed us) we would certainly use Stephensons Solicitors LLP and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you for all your hard work at the bleakest time of our lives x

1-Star Review for Stephensons Solicitors

My experience with Stephensons has been nothing short of frustrating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. I instructed them for a straightforward legal matter, expecting professional service, but what I received was completely unacceptable. Despite paying for a solicitor, my case was handled by a junior who repeatedly produced error-filled legal documents, including basic miscalculations. The final document was still inaccurate even after multiple revisions. When I raised concerns, getting a response was nearly impossible—calls were ignored, emails went unanswered, and even escalations marked as “high priority” were completely disregarded. Supervisors were nowhere to be found, and when I finally managed to involve a legal partner, they had been on leave and still failed to address the situation upon their return. The entire process caused me more stress than handling the matter myself, which completely defeats the purpose of hiring a solicitor. Given the lack of professionalism, poor attention to detail, and abysmal communication, I would strongly advise against using Stephensons. I have now taken my business elsewhere and would urge others to do the same. If you want a solicitor who actually answers the phone and gets the job done properly, look elsewhere.

Supported with a S21A Challenge

I was supported by Megan Taylor through a S21A Challenge process. This resulted in a brilliant outcome, meaning the person we support was able to move to a less restrictive placement. This has allowed the person we support to finally have the independence they have been striving for. Thank you for all your support on this case it has been invaluable.
