For Eviction Procedure

Our Solicitor Sophie Chilstone was excellent. Sophie sent reply quickly not only that if we don't response within 24 hours she asked someone in the office to ring us and contact us and confirm whether we received documents or not?

Reassuring and professional

From the very first point of contact, I felt totally at ease with Shay Winstanley of Stephensons Solicitors LLP. He was empathetic, caring, had excellent knowledge and I felt in safe hands. He was extremely professional and guided me through the whole process. His correspondence were very clear and I was kept informed every step of the way. Discusting service

We had to use these solictors via our insurance company. Absolutely no urgency, never phoned back, only answered the occasional email at 5pm on a Friday, the costs were exorbitant for the service received. We complained about the first solicitor assigned to us and one of the partners then took over, only to ask us to forward all the correspondence we had already sent to the original solicitor. In the end we did the claim ourselves with the help of a claims consultant.

No one is above the law

I had a particularly difficult tenant who worked in the legal profession and refused to vacate the property and pay rent for over a year . Stephensons knew the process step by step and recovered my property, rent arrears /plus interest and a significant amount of costs against the tenant . They all went out of their way to ensure a win against a tenant that tried every legal angle . So a big thank you to Sophie Chilstone ,Andrew Whitehead from Stephenson’s and Gary Lewis the barrister they assigned to my case . I would highly recommend these people they seriously know what they are doing

Professional, Efficient, and Saved Me Thousands

I was referred to Stephensons’ Costs Team through Partner Paul Loughlin, and I’m incredibly grateful I was. I needed legal representation to dispute an excessive legal bill I had received from another firm of solicitors, and within just an hour of the referral, Neil Smallwood called me directly. Neil clearly explained my options, outlined the estimated costs, and gave me immediate confidence in his approach. Neil, along with his colleague Lee Simpson, handled the matter with outstanding professionalism. They successfully challenged the bill, securing a reduction of over £4,500 — a result far better than I expected. The entire process was straightforward and stress-free. I was kept informed at every stage via email, and communication was always prompt and clear. Thanks to Stephensons, not only was the disputed amount significantly reduced, but the matter was settled without the need for court proceedings. As a result, my total fees ended up being even less than originally estimated. I’m genuinely pleased I chose Stephensons and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of legal assistance. Supported with a S21A Challenge

I was supported by Megan Taylor through a S21A Challenge process. This resulted in a brilliant outcome, meaning the person we support was able to move to a less restrictive placement.
