Conveyancing.

From the beginning of my engagement with Davisons Law, the service provided has suffered from poor communication, unprofessionalism, lack of transparency, and severe administrative delays. What should have been a standard 12-to-16-week leasehold transaction has extended past a year. During this time, I have dealt with constant disruptions and an unacceptable standard of client care. 1. Excessive Staff Turnover and Unexplained Case Transfers. 2. Lack of Communication and Unfulfilled Promises. 3. Repeated and Overzealous AML Checks. 5 separate sets for one application. 4. Incorrect Charges and Unprofessional Conduct. 5. Lack of Transparency and Misconduct. A formal complaint has been lodged.

Overall poor experience

Used Davisons Solicitors in 2022/23 as our conveyancer for our first property, in particular Witney Tully (now Rose I believe). Things were fine initially, we had our property offer accepted and instructed Davisons, but things fell through so we changed to a new property. As we were some way through the process, we had to pay again for searches etc, which was reasonable. We didn't have much communication with Witney, she seemed to hide behind her support staff and they seemed to do most of the work. It was difficult to get hold of anyone at short notice, they seem to be a big fan of letting the voicemail pick up messages and then calling back when convenient for them (which is contrary to their customer charter which states they will respond within 24 hours, sometimes it was multiple days before we were contacted back!) We eventually completed on our mortgage in February 2023, and as we were first time buyers and our purchase was reasonably complex, we asked a lot of questions regarding things going through properly, and we were told each time yes everything was fine. We came to remortgage in December 2024, and when the solicitor assigned to our remortgage tried to sort things with Land Registry, it turned out that there had been some issues with registering our property with Land Registry which Davisons had not told us about, but this had been ongoing for nearly 18 months and as a result the registration had not been completed yet, and we were unable to remortgage, which meant we had to pay extra on our mortgage while the issues were resolved. It took nearly 4 months for the ongoing problems to be resolved, as there had been quite a lot of changes in the interim and the property now had other problems which needed to be resolved, which should have been dealt with during the initial purchase. Davisons were adamant this was not their fault, we made a complaint to recover the additional costs and they offered us a measly compensation fee. We took this to the Legal Ombudsman, who agreed in our favour, and they had to cough up for their negligence. I would not recommend Witney at all to anyone, unless you enjoy not having any communication with your solicitor, not having the job done properly, and then having to fight tooth and nail to get a satisfactory resolution with the firm taking no responsibility for their failings!

Great service from Davisons Law Lichfield

We have just sold a property , using Davisons solicitors and have been very pleased with the experience. Sufyaan and Emily were extremely helpful and very prompt in replying to queries. The office was also great in dealing with my mother who needed help with paper copies of contacts etc

Exceptional service from beginning ti end

Massive thanks to Shabnam Begum and Hannah Richardson who were both on the ball daily especially when the other side/vendor were both such hard work ! I didnt think they would have to do soooooo much chasing/work to get our purchase through but finally exchanged !! I will definately recommend them both to friends and family as this service could not be beaten anywhere - thanks again you are professional speedy stars - simply the best x

Davisons Leamington: Excellent Work!

To put it simply the team at Davisons Leamington are excellent, and are due very high praise. They worked tirelessly on my behalf with a difficult case, balancing a strong degree of professionalism with immense levels of care and consideration for their clients. Where other firms in the process dithered and delayed, Davisons found solutions, getting everything resolved efficiently and effectively. The commitment and combined efforts of Justine and her team meant that I was able to spend Christmas in my new home with my family, something that had seemed a very remote prospect prior to their involvement. It is also worth noting that I am neurodivergent, in the past I had occasionally struggled to understand legal jargon and specific detail when speaking with other firms, even after explaining my additional needs to them. This was never an issue with Davisons, everyone I spoke with provided clear updates and assurance throughout, whether face-to-face, in mails or on the phone, and all done with a warmth and a genuine care that I hadn't expected from a law firm. They really are that good. So, if I'm ever in need of any future help with matters of family law or conveyancing, my first call will be to Davisons Leamington office.

My parents left a will for property to be sold.i instructed Saajan Rattu to do probate which took over a year..then we had to go to court against my sister who was refusing to leave he had me pay £1600 to a barrister who new nothing about my case he was reading about it on the train on way to court laughable really. Just throwing my money away.then it was mediation throwing money away again. now two years later i was the one who one the case and stll property not sold.he also tells the my sister solicitor things i would say to him in private and didn't want them to know. Awful. Paid not far of £10.000..also never answered emails or phone calls..really AVOID..you lose a lot of money with no gain whatsoever
