Ive just had to find out today from the selling agent, that I completed on a property purchase today that took over 6 months. We were forced into using Taylor Rose as they where on the lenders panel.. The amount of e mails and calls that went unanswered for weeks on end, and the extra charges to use a portal that for one , didn't work and secondly, we didn't want to use is disgusting. Even though the purchase was in joint names with my business partner emails were sent to one not another. Makes our local solicitors that we normally use for property purchases seem like a dream come true compared to this company. Avoid at all costs

I used Taylor Rose for a residential conveyancing transaction, and unfortunately, my experience has raised serious concerns about the level of due diligence carried out. Post-completion, we were left facing unexpected liabilities linked to issues that should reasonably have been identified during the purchase process. These included matters relating to cladding, AOV systems, gas pipe arrangements, fire doors, and balcony construction materials, along with additional management company fees that only came to light after completion. In standard conveyancing practice, these are the kinds of building safety and financial liabilities that are typically investigated and clarified with the freeholder or managing agent before exchange and completion. In my case, this does not appear to have been fully or properly done, and as a result, we were left having to deal with issues that should have been flagged at the outset. While some attempts were made to resolve specific fee-related matters after the fact, my wider concern is that there has not been a satisfactory end-to-end review or explanation of how these issues were not identified during the conveyancing process itself. I would strongly encourage anyone purchasing a leasehold property, particularly in a building with potential fire safety considerations, to ensure that all enquiries and freeholder responses are thoroughly reviewed and independently verified.

Chris & the Team have been brilliant, steering me through the minefield of selling & buying properties.
