I wish a special thanks to Diane Hewitt for her legal advice and help when my aunt first went into a home and we had to sell her bunglow. Approx. start date 6/05/2021 till 16/10/2023

My Mother requested that we use WGA as they had a copy of her will and were located in her home town of Swaffham. As Executor of my Mother’s Will, I approached WGA following the passing of my Mother and soon met solicitor Alix . I found staff at WGA welcoming, professional and clearly communicated the facts and associated process for reading the will and submitting an application for Grant of Probate. All necessary documents were processed clearly, concisely and promptly with probate received with six weeks. Thank you for your professional services at a difficult time.

Its a stressful time, setting up wills and in this case, the Lasting Power of Attorney. We are keen to make our family member's transition as gentle as possible. I was thus surprised when we asked to come in to talk with someone about preparation of an LPA that it was immediately down to business with demanding £80 for the conversation. I have personally talked with another solicitor local to me about this, in a friendly and supportive manner, and whilst I recognise that everyone needs to make their buck, I was unimpressed with WGA's approach. In this day and age I would expect up to an hours free consultation. WGA seem to have the monopoly in Chatteris which may mean we have to go with them. I can only hope that the solicitor is more friendly / empathetic than the person that answers the phone.

Caroline dealt with Lasting Power Of Attorney for both financial and health. I have known Caroline for many years and trust her professionalism and ability to provide the service required. She provided this to the standard I knew she would. The one criticism I have of the procedure is of no fault of Caroline but of your costs. I could have engaged most other solicitors at a far lower cost. Had it not been for my personal relationship I would have gone elsewhere.

I met with two individuals re updating my Will and then my PofA. The First Gentleman who was representing an ill Partner was distant, appeared disinterested and certainly hadn’t checked my draft Will prior to despatch as it contained many factual errors. The younger lady that dealt with the amendment to the PofA was delightful, pleasant, helpful and very competent I wouldn’t hesitate to contact her again.
