I have been during business with this excellent firm for over 10 years. It was the first time I was assigned to Adeeba who I engaged to take on breach of contract action. This action had a particular complication as it involved jurisdictional issues, but if didn't phase Adeeba as she was adept at every turn. Her advice was always sound on point and timely which eventually led to an excellent outcome for me. I recommend the Eaton Smith firm and if you are looking for one with excellent experience in litigation, then I would gladly recommend Adeeba Bashir, she is a great asset to her company and to the profession. Sadly I do agree with a number of the other bad reviews for this company. Used these guys recently for a civil property dispute, I agree with previous comments saying "charged like a raging bull"! Attended court on one of the occasions only for the entire day to be unrequired (but still billable to the client e.g me) Ramped up eye watering amounts of bills for a simple case, solicitors pushed for mediation with a party that clearly did not intend on mediating, putting me on the back foot .Mediation was wildly expensive and not the route I wanted as my proposal was for us to propose a stay on the proceedings to the judge, due to preferred alternative routes being available than court. Nobody seemed to support the alternative (cheaper and less risky) routes. Ultimately agreeing and pushing to mediate with an opposing party not willing to was just forcing yourself into giving in, which the solicitors must know from so much experience. Backed into a corner on a strong case, when the other side refused to settle, my own legal advice was to give up even on a strong case or risk bankruptcy levels of costs (£80-120K+ was quoted). If this was the best advice I wish I had received it at the outset before incurring £20K+ legal fees to get nowhere. The whole legal system is rigged to extract as much money as possible from the clients in the dispute

I've used this law firm for a while. Everyone I've spoken to is always friendly and supportive. They've backed my corner well. However, a lot of the time, I felt I was ringing to chase things up and not get any replies. When I did get a reply, I was repeating myself quite a bit, which was frustrating as it cost money. Emails that were meant to be sent sometimes weren't, so I had to chase to make sure this was done as I couldn't settle and know it would be done and in most cases it wasn't. I know it's a slow process, but these things make it slower. The pricing is around £250 an hour plus any extras and excluding VAT. The money soon racks up. They do send you estimates, so you're aware of costs.

All I can say is thank you. I reached out to my union for help with an employment matter and they referred me to your legal firm. Irina has been great, truly patient with my ex employer, very supportive to me, explaining things when I needed clarification and always keeping me updated on matters.
