Excellent Service

From the initial strategy meeting I had with Becca Reynolds in January until my decision hearing yesterday, I couldn't fault the service I've received at all. There's one more hearing to attend in the future but I know that Becca will do all she can to get the ideal outcome. Communication is what really stands out to me. I came into proceedings not really understanding what was ahead of me but everything was explained so clearly and both email and telephone communication has been seamless. I met Becca in person for the first time yesterday and was immediately put at ease and found her so easy to chat to both about the case and day to day life. Becca is extremely professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend to anyone!

Professional expertise delivered in a supportive way

I received excellent legal support throughout my divorce and financial settlement. Multiple lawyers looked after my case and they were all good. The only reason for one less star is the cost, but in the end the overall cost came out ok. When I asked for a less expensive solicitor to work on my case there was no issue in a more junior member of staff being appointed, all of whom were very good. Given how stressful a divorce is, the staff at Stowe ensured they gave calm, straightforward advice, and were responsive and professional throughout.

Great service from start to finish under tricky circumstances.

Great service form start to finish. With the help from Hannah Ross and Sarah Sowden, they managed maternity cover and a very tricky and slow opposition. All whilst being considerate of my incurring costs and an emotional and stressful situation. For me however, it's always the human approach they take and for this, I'd happily always recommend to anyone and everyone.

My husband insisted on conducting the whole divorce via the courts and wouldn’t engage in any form of mediation. Rosanna Hounslowe and Asieh Salehzehi were enormously supportive, diligent and attentive to the particular issues inherent in my case and relationship with my husband. Untimely they achieved a great result for me and my children and have enabled me to get on with my new life in the knowledge that I am financially secure and a fair deal has been reached. I will be eternally grateful.

Reliable, Compassionate and Highly Professional Representation This is the second time we’ve worked with Stowe, and with Emily in particular, in family court proceedings. After some poor experiences with another Stockport firm in the past, the difference here is genuinely worlds apart. I wouldn’t consider using anyone else again, although I sincerely hope I won’t need to. The biggest testament I can give is that when the court docs landed in my inbox, my only thought was that I hope Emily was still with Stowe! Emily was great from start to finish. She remembered detailed information from our case five years ago, which saved us having to repeat ourselves and ensured nothing was missed. She pulled together all the material for both the previous and current court bundles, and her summaries were spot on, reflecting the points that really mattered to us. Both Emily and Caitlyn explained everything clearly, and they were consistently patient, kind and honest. They were upfront about costs, realistic about potential outcomes, and supported us through what has been an incredibly difficult period. The barristers they instructed were exactly as described – knowledgeable, fair and accurate in their representation. They also took extra time to talk us through the process, what to expect, and any possible next steps. We’re genuinely grateful to the whole team. Regardless of the outcome and the cost! working with Stowe has always left me feeling confident that we’ve acted with integrity, been properly informed, and been represented both professionally and fairly.

I've been using Stowe for the past 18 months for a divorce which has finally completed. I've been dealing with Stephanie Noel, who has been incredibly helpful, patient and compassionate. I've really appreciated her help. The overall cost has been fair and reasonable. I would recommend working with Stephanie. However, I was initially dealing with James Looi and I did not appreciate his approach/assistance. I kept on being charged for every email and attempted phone call which was outrageous as I'm not made out of money. These charges were later removed and thankfully I did not have to work with him.

Zoe Cross has been dealing with my ongoing case and I cannot recommend her and Stowe highly enough. Despite no doubt being very busy she is always able to take my call and comes back to me in a timely manner. She has been very knowledgeable throughout and genuinely seems to care about my case and concerns. She does seem to know the case inside out which is obviously helpful. As many people have stated Stowe aren't necessarily the cheapest firm out there but I do feel my case has been looked after as well as I could have ever asked for so it seems you get what you pay for. I have had regular updates from Zoe throughout and I haven't had to chase her.

By far, this has been the hardest 27 months of my life. When I separated from my ex-wife, I never envisaged the emotional, financial and personal toll that navigating the legal system would take. Gemma came on board roughly halfway through my case when matters had become stagnant and helped get everything moving again. Even when progress was difficult and the other side would not engage constructively, Gemma remained focused, proactive and determined to keep the case moving forward. Throughout the process there were many challenges, setbacks and difficult moments, but Gemma always provided clear, honest and practical advice.
