Jack has been incredible from start to finish of our house move. He is always really quick in getting things sorted and I have always had full faith in knowing he is getting things in place without having to chase which makes the house buying process that little bit easier!

We got introduced to Jack via our mortgage advisor and we are so glad we went with Jack. We were in a position to complete on both sale and purchase within 6 weeks for instructing Jack. Not once did we feel we didn’t know where we were in the process, Jack kept us updated regularly and done everything he could to get us moved quickly. Couldn’t recommend Jack enough if you are either buying or selling.

Started our journey to sell in November 2025 finally completed in August ‘26 after a previous chain had collapsed in June. Emma has been central to our success giving us cool and assured professional advice instilling a calmness and reducing anxiety when the previous chain collapsed.Cynics might argue that it was in her interest to promote a continuance but Emma exuded genuine empathy; always available to steady our nerves and contribute logic, realism and knowledge of the process to our decisions. Our sale and purchase would not have happened without her and her oppo, Amber Simpson.

To be fair, Taylor Rose ultimately did what they needed to do: we had the documents we needed, exchanged and completed on time, and their fees were reasonable. However, as a first-time buyer, I found the overall client experience unnecessarily frustrating. The biggest issue was missed timescales. There were several occasions where I was given a definitive promise such as “I WILL have this with you by the end of the week”, only for the deadline to pass with nothing received. I would then have to chase, be given another deadline, and chase again when that was missed too. When the document eventually arrived, there was no acknowledgement that the promised timescale hadn't been met. The client portal was a huge disappointment. It looks great and is designed to show you where you are in the process, but ours remained stuck on “onboarding” throughout the entire transaction, and is still showing that four days after completion. I queried this and was told it “doesn't update automatically.” Given that Taylor Rose charges for the portal, I would have expected it to be kept up to date. Used properly, it could have provided reassurance and reduced the need for clients to chase for updates. There was also unnecessary frustration around paperwork. Documents arrived in bits and pieces, meaning multiple recorded delivery costs, and on more than one occasion I was asked to send documents again because they apparently couldn't be found. On one occasion, after I insisted they check again, I was told the paperwork had been found “hiding in another folder.” Completion day was the most stressful part. Because of our mortgage arrangements, we had to exchange and complete simultaneously. Our lender released the funds at around 9am, but Taylor Rose didn't appear to locate them until around 2pm. There was very little communication or reassurance while this was being investigated. We then heard nothing for around two and a half hours and, in the end, it was the estate agent who told us that we had completed before our solicitor did. We received the keys with only minutes of the day remaining. Ultimately, we did complete on time and the transaction was successfully concluded, so I can't say Taylor Rose failed to deliver the service. However, I never really felt like a valued client, which is particularly unsettling when you're a first-time buyer. If you're looking for a reasonably priced conveyancing service that will get the job done, Taylor Rose may be suitable. Just be prepared to be proactive, chase for updates and manage your expectations around communication. For me, the service was adequate, but the client experience could have been considerably better.
