I instructed Emma Suzuki, from Taylor Rose, on dispute with my employer and she was a pleasure to work with. Emma doesn't just look after the PLCs, she looks after the individual too. She's thorough, diligent, measured in her approach, and reassuring, and dealt with all of my many queries in a timely manner, putting me at ease in difficult circumstances. She was fully transparent on all related costs and went above and beyond in terms of time spent communicating with me as a client (phone calls and emails after hours on a number of occasions). It was a difficult time, but Emma made it that much easier with her reassurance and professional, confident demeanour. I'd happily recommend Emma to anyone needing her help to settle an employment dispute.

I would strongly advise against anyone instructing Taylor Rose for a property transaction. Following our purchase, Taylor Rose failed to identify errors in our mortgage deed before submitting the registration application to HM Land Registry. This led to avoidable requisitions, significant delays and months of uncertainty. Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. We repeatedly had to chase for updates, were provided with the contact details of an employee who had already left the firm, and ultimately had to contact HM Land Registry ourselves to establish the status of the application. It was only through our own enquiries that we discovered the application was approaching a critical deadline. The delays had serious financial consequences. Our mortgage offer expired whilst the registration issues remained unresolved, forcing us to secure a new mortgage product at a significantly higher interest rate. Taylor Rose has accepted responsibility for a number of failings and has offered a small amount compensation but nothing close to our losses. We remain dissatisfied with the outcome and have now referred the matter to the Legal Ombudsman for independent review. What is most disappointing is that the complaint itself took almost six months to reach a final response, including missed deadlines within Taylor Rose's own complaints process. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, our experience was characterised by avoidable errors, poor communication and a lack of accountability for the full financial impact of those failings. Based on our experience, I would not use Taylor Rose again.

Honestly, would've been much higher rating if it wasn't for the fact that the solicitor rang us near completion of a remortgage to tell us to pay a shortfall of £3000. No explanation, just a terse call saying we owe money and to transfer it. Turned out to be an error on the solicitors side as they generated the redemption statement too early, adding pending direct debit payments that haven't been cleared yet. Even without our broker, we spotted the mistake immediately so I wonder how legal professionals aren't able to double check figures before calling a client for a large sum of money.. terrible service to put your client through the panic within days of completion.

We dealt with Amie Strachan for our re-mortgage and found her replies to be very quick and her advice was always clear.

Excellent Service. Smooth and seamless!!!....In particular I was dealt with a lovely young lady called Merridith Gray. She communicated right throughout the case, and on final completion she kindly called me to finalise and close the remortgage. In my opinion a phone call and good communication is key to showing care and attention to the client. Merridith showed total professionalism and excellent work ethic on my case. Well done!!! Amie was amazing throughout the remortgage process. She provided quick updates, answered all my questions (first time remortgaging) and ensured the process was smooth!

Not great service unfortunately. Firstly I had no communication after submitting my original documentation, when I called they said I needed access to their online portal the details of which were never sent to me. When I got access there were a number of items outstanding and one which said it had been done incorrectly (it hadn't the message had been sent in error) I then got multiple reminders each Monday for documentation that they already had. When I called to check everything would complete (after sending multiple messages through the portal with no response) I got a very rude person on the end of the phone. Finally, the emails I was sent with the completion statements on referred to the wrong lender. And even though my case has now completed the portal still shows 75% complete... Overall, next time I will pay for legals instead of using the free legals that came with the mortgage, in the hopes I might get some kind of communication throughout the process.
