Great Solicitors for First Time Buyers!

My partner & I used Warner Goodman as per recommendation from a financial advisor and the whole experience was very well received. Despite being a 100% virtual service in the end (due to COVID), Lucy Smith and the rest of her team were prompt, reliable, clear, timely and thorough. As first time buyers their support throughout the process was excellent and much appreciated. Although on the slightly higher end in terms of price, compared to quotes we received from other firms, we'd be more than happy to go with Warner Goodman's considering their 5 star service.

I wanted to sell my flat in Southsea in order to purchase another property and move. The local solicitor I usually use couldn’t deal with the sale of my flat because the top floor of the building exceeded 11meters in height, meaning the building fell into the ‘Building Safety Act’ which they didn’t specialize in. My solicitor recommended Warner Goodman who were a local solicitor to me and who dealt with the Building Safety Act. I always like to use a local solicitor as I don’t like using online / postal / no win no fee / solicitor company miles away etc. Cost wise they are competitive and I was more than happy to instruct them for my sale and purchase. Flats can be complicated to sell with accounts / section 20 / maintenance cost / management and lease. The sale of the property I owned fell through twice. Two of my buyers pulled out at the last minute, which was out of the control of myself or my solicitor and frustrating. Warner Goodman were always positive, having plenty of experience, they were always reassuring and kept the costs to a minimum, keeping all the work they had done to use in the next sale when a new buyer would come along. Eventually I managed to exchange contracts on my 3rd sale attempt and have now successfully moved. I would definitely recommend Warner Goodman. I my experience, especially if you are selling a flat. They are very experienced, efficient and organized and very reasonably priced and I will always be thankful for their service.

The purchase of a buy to let property and becoming landlords for the first time was daunting to say the least. Reliable, Efficient and Supportive Conveyancing Team

We used Warner Goodman LLP for conveyancing when buying our first home and again for the sale and purchase of our next, and they were fantastic both times. Emma, Immy and Tanya where absolutely INCREDIBLE! I cannot thank them enough being first time buyers is a daunting prospect, but with their guidance I felt confident every step of the way. I first hired Warner Goodman as my solicitor in 2015 when I bought my house. Then in end 2025 I used Warner Goodman the second time as my solicitor when I changed my residential mortgage to a buy to let. I am always very impressed with their service and advice, reasonable rates as well as understanding my needs and requests.
