I would not recommend Taylor Rose based on my experience during the purchase of my property. From the outset, communication was extremely poor. After a delay of around three weeks, I discovered that my file had been transferred to a different solicitor within the firm without any notification or explanation. This lack of communication set the tone for the entire transaction. The solicitor handling my case, Philip Taylor, communicated exclusively by email and responses typically took at least 24 hours. As a result, even simple matters took far longer than necessary to progress. I also found the service to be entirely reactive rather than proactive. I was repeatedly sent large volumes of documents to review and respond to, but with little or no guidance as to what decisions needed to be made, the implications of those decisions, or what course of action was advisable. As a client relying on professional expertise, I expected far more support and practical advice throughout the process. Following completion of the purchase, there was a further stage involving the conversion of the leasehold flats into a share of freehold once all flats had been sold. I was informed by my solicitor that he could not act for me in relation to this. However, owners of the other flats advised that their solicitors had handled the freehold transfer as part of their purchase transactions, which made this response particularly disappointing. Overall, I found the service provided by Taylor Rose to be inefficient, poorly communicated, and lacking in proactive client support. Purchasing a property is one of the most significant financial transactions most people undertake, and unfortunately my experience did not inspire confidence at any stage. I would not use Taylor Rose again and would not recommend them to others.
